We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to act as the critical link between our business functions and IT project delivery teams, with a focus on pharmaceutical-specific applications and regulatory environments. This role ensures that business needs related to digital systems (e.g., SAP ERP, CRM, GMP, QMS, Events Management, etc.) are captured, translated, and implemented effectively in collaboration with corporate IT.

This role combines business analysis and IT project management in a GxP-compliant environment, making it ideal for professionals experienced in regulated industries.

Main Responsibilities

  • You serve as the primary point of contact between business departments and IT teams, collaborating to define and implement digital strategies
  • Gather, analyse, and document business requirements related to pharmaceutical IT systems, ensuring compliance with GxP and other relevant regulations
  • Facilitate alignment across departments and ensure stakeholders are informed, involved, and accountable throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of digital initiatives – from scoping and vendor coordination to validation, training, and go-live support
  • Act as the local liaison for Corporate/Global IT teams, helping prioritise business demands and drive solution delivery
  • Coordinate system validation activities, risk assessments, and ensure documentation aligns with pharmaceutical industry standards
  • Innovation Scouting: Monitor external digital trends and technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage

  • Support digital governance and ensure compliance with data privacy, regulatory, and cybersecurity standards

  • Proven experience in managing cross-functional stakeholders and facilitating IT delivery
  • Solid project management skills (PMI and Agile)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and proactive attitude
  • Prior experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech or life sciences industry is a plus
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus

This is how you can imagine a typical day in the role

A typical day involves starting the morning reviewing ongoing project statuses and preparing for meetings with business stakeholders to gather new IT system requirements or clarify existing ones. Midday might include a cross-functional workshop or call with Corporate IT to align on solution design, timelines, or issue resolution. The afternoon is spent updating documentation (e.g., user requirements, validation plans), tracking project progress, and following up with vendors or internal teams. Throughout the day, the Business Partner ensures compliance with GxP standards and keeps communication flowing across all parties to keep IT initiatives moving forward.
