About the role:

 

 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced GP Representative in Newcastle - NSW to join our AIR business unit.

 

The primary purpose of this role is to drive continuous sales and growth within an expanding portfolio in a highly competitive environment, calling on targeted General Practitioners located in within Newcastle - NSW. Achieving continuous growth & sales results will be achieved by developing long-term sustainable relationships. Attention to the Medicines Australia guidelines & code of conduct along with operation within the ‘Quality use of medicines’ framework is essential. 

 

This role reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager and is a full time permanent role. This role requires an ambitious and pro-active person who will maximise opportunities and ultimately support solid patient outcomes. You will be supported by an aligned cross-functional team seeking innovative solutions to connecting with our customers. This role requires a strong and effective communicator, who is well versed in the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct and has a proven track record working in a similar role as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

 

  • To achieve agreed sales targets & market share growth whilst managing an assigned expense budget
  • To achieve agreed Sales Force Effectiveness targets (Days in field and target calls per day) for the allocated territory by targeting relevant customers
  • To drive long term sustainable relationships for Chiesi Australia through quality use of medicines
  • To understand key clinics in high potential areas and to prioritise these accounts.
  • To work closely with the State Regional Sales Manager to align on priority tasks and focus.
  • Report all Adverse Events to Pharmacovigilance within 24 hours
  • Live and uphold Chiesi Customer Experience/centric principles
  • Live and uphold the Chiesi Values and Behaviours
  • To promote to targeted General Practitioners as per the defined and communicated key selling messages.
  • To act as a conduit of information from the external environment to the Respiratory cross-functional team.
  • To communicate effectively with colleagues for the purpose of collaboration, information sharing, and, alignment.

 

Experience Required:

 

 

  • Degreed Qualified in Science or Science related.
  • Sales experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Project management skills essential: identify priorities; plan and organise activities; monitor progress to ensure team and individual objectives are met; and, strong individual budget management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills in English.
  • High attention to detail and compliance.
  • Express and communicate ideas clearly within the sales team and the company. Ability to communicate complex issues and data to wide range of professional and lay audiences, adapting message and style to suit.
  • Flexible and positive attitude organised with high levels of project management and planning.
  • A high level of motivation whilst possessing the ability to work independently or in a team environment as the situation demands.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Ability to recognise links between commercial opportunities and customer clinical education needs.
