About Chiesi
We are Chiesi, a family business founded by Giacomo Chiesi. In 1935, Giacomo started making new medicines in his pharmacy in Parma.
Now, more than 85 years later, his grandchildren Alessandro, Andrea, Giacomo and Maria Paola, are at the helm of a globally operating company. Our company offers jobs to more than 7,000 people. They make medicines for chronic lung diseases, transplants and respiratory problems premature infants and several rare diseases.
But one thing hasn't changed; we decide what we do ourselves, without major shareholders who demand higher dividends or determine where we invest. We can still really do business with a long-term view. This long-term vision is aimed at helping patients.
