Global Technical Operations & Supply 

Global Technical Operations & Supply (Global TechOp&S) is Chiesi’s global manufacturing and supply area, responsible for ensuring consistent, outstanding quality, service and value across our end‑to‑end supply chain. Global TechOp&S oversees the entire lifecycle of the drug: from process optimization and industrialization, to manufacturing, engineering, quality oversight, and supply chain management. Throughout this journey, Operational Excellence drives continuous improvement. This end‑to‑end model is powered by our four manufacturing sites - Parma (IT), Blois (FR), Santana de Parnaíba (BR), and Nerviano (IT) - together with our Virtual Plant network of external partners.

This is what you will do

In this role you will drive the end-to-end (E2E) planning and performance of assigned rare disease brands, balancing revenue delivery with a zero-tolerance approach to patient supply continuity. The person will act as key interface between Supply Chain and Commercial teams, ensuring demand plans are translated into executable supply strategies that maximize product availability while protecting patients. You will Support product-level decision-making, ensuring trade-offs prioritize patient impact while optimizing financial outcomes.

 

Scope & Organizational Impact

  • Global responsibility across multiple rare disease brands for E2E planning post Demand consolidation
  • Strong interface with Global and Regional Brand teams to support sustainable revenue delivery
  • Direct contribution to patient continuity, product availability, and revenue protection
  • Operates in a zero-tolerance environment for stock-outs impacting patients

You will be responsible for

  • Develop and maintain global supply plans aligned to commercial forecasts while safeguarding patient supply
  • Translate demand signals into supply plans that ensure uninterrupted patient access and support revenue realization
  • Partner closely with Brand Managers to align on demand assumptions, launch readiness, and growth scenarios
  • Identify and proactively manage risks to patient supply and revenue (stock-outs, constraints, delays)
  • Coordinate with Supply Execution, Manufacturing, and Logistics to ensure plan feasibility and robustness
  • Support scenario planning to evaluate trade-offs, prioritizing patient impact first, then financial outcomes
  • Monitor KPIs including service level, inventory, and revenue-at-risk
  • Support IBP / S&OP processes with clear articulation of patient and financial implications

 

You will also:

  • Collaborate with Demand Managers and Affiliates to ensure alignment between patient needs and market demand
  • Support translation of global supply plans into reliable local execution
  • Communicate supply risks with clear visibility of patient and revenue impact
  • Act as key partner to commercial teams in prioritization decisions under constraints

You will need to have

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in supply or demand planning
  • Fluent English 
  • Experience in planning processes (IBP / S&OP)
  • Exposure to global supply chains and CMO environments
  • Experience working with Commercial / Brand teams is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with planning tools such as SAP IBP, OMP, Kinaxis

We would prefer for you to have

  • Experience within the pharmaceutical industry, with exposure to rare disease products.

Location

The position is open in Europe, with a preference for Dublin and Italy.
