Air and Care Franchise
Within the three Business Units (Discover more here), Air and Care Franchises are responsible for the development and implementation of the Therapeutic Area Strategies. Each Franchise is organized by stage of development with fully empowered and enhanced teams of: Pipeline Development Team - focused on delivering innovation and programs leadership accountabilities in close collaboration with R&D, Commercial Portfolio Management Team - focused on maximizing the benefit for the patients and the full potential of marketed / close-to-launch assets, including Life Cycle Management strategies.
Air and Care Franchises are also supported by the Medical Affairs, Value & Access, and Business Excellence & Customer Experience Global functions.

Within these departments, you will actively support the Air and Care Franchises businesses. These units are responsible for the development and implementation of the Therapeutic Area Strategies. Each Franchise is organized by stage of development with fully empowered and enhanced teams of: Pipeline Development and Commercial Portfolio Management.
Who we are looking for
This is what you will do
The Global New Product Planning (NPP) Manager will work closely with the Global Head of NPP, AIR Franchise to complete strategic commercial assessments that drive early pipeline development and inorganic business development due diligences. They will assess commercial opportunities across market landscapes & size, TPP differentiation & competitive dynamics, revenue forecast, and LCM & commercial capabilities.
You will be responsible for
- Keen understanding of important tailwinds / headwinds across respiratory indications and their impact on AIR strategic imperatives
- Update Project Cards and drive clear early pipeline GNG decisions by challenging TPP differentiation and mastering competitive market dynamics for the indication across the value chain of the product from research to marketing
- Development of clear investment stories that describe key commercial risks / opportunities through the development of the commercial business case and collaboration with highly cross-functional due diligence teams
- Identification and solutions to multifaceted key business questions through primary and secondary market research, complex data analytics, and effective leverage of internal expertise/capabilities
- Close partnerships and collaborative trust with cross-functional stakeholders and program team members (i.e., BD, GMA, GVA, and R&D, Regulatory, CMC, IP, Finance) that serves to bring the customer voice to early development and inorganic diligences
- Innovation and translation of research & analysis from conclusions to into actionable commercial insights that inform and influence cross-functionally supported early pipeline development and inorganic investment requirements
- Management of vendor and internal teams that ensure the appropriate procurement of market research & data analytic resources that support NPP efforts
You will need to have
- Medical and / or scientific background preferred
- 4+ years Life Sciences commercial and/or business roles required; experience in adjacent functions such as Business Development, Finance, Marketing, Market Access or R&D also considered
- Core technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel based forecast modeling
- Understanding of drug development and market dynamics (E.g., Drug development, Regulatory environment, Access & reimbursement etc.)
- Ability to analyze complex issues and translate insight into clear decisions; high degree of comfort in providing recommendations and driving decisions even when there is ambiguity due to uncertainty and lack of validated assumptions
- Demonstrated track-record of strong critical thinking and problem-solving through high attention to detail and a customer-centric mindset
- Ability to quickly learn the fundamentals of new indications by effectively leveraging internal and external expertise or data sources
- Strong written and oral communication skills to enable effective interaction with all levels of management and global teams/functions
- Motivated team-player with proactive and resourceful mentality who is able to excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Excellent communication and networking skills to foster strong relationship at all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple work streams
Budgeted Salary Range (package applied for role based in Italy)
The budgeted salary range approved for this role is between €58.880 and €73.600. This range reflects the typical compensation expected for candidates with the experience and expertise required for the position.
Final offer may vary based on the selected candidate's skills, experience, qualifications, overall profile, and internal equity considerations.
This role is eligible to participate in an annual bonus scheme, subject to company and individual performance.

The package outlined above is based on the role being located in Italy. Where the role is offered in a different Country, the applicable salary, bonus and benefits will be aligned to the relevant local market and internal frameworks.
