Who we are looking for

Purpose

The Tax Italy Manager is responsible for managing the tax obligations for direct and indirect taxes of the Italian Entities, safeguarding compliance

Main Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Head of Global Tax:

  • Direct Tax Calculation (Ires/Irap), accurately preparing and filling of the annual tax returns of Chiesi Farmaceutici Spa in a timely manner.
  • Managing the Direct and Indirect tax matters for the Italian Group legal entities, also supervising the outsourcers hired to support certain workstreams.
  • Acting as a key reference person to other departments/Affiliates, supporting them on tax issues by proposing solutions and monitoring their execution.
  • Monitoring developments in tax legislation and understanding legislative taxation changes, planning potential impact for the Italian legal entities and informing relevant management and staff concerned.
  • Supervising members of the tax Italy team to ensure that tax returns are completed correctly and in a timely manner. Reviewing, approval and submission of all Fiscal Returns (e.g. CU, LiPe, 770, Esterometro, VAT returns etc.).
  • Building and maintaining relationships with external tax consultants and peers, also by eventually participating in technical study focus groups within advocacy/representative organizations (e.g. Confindustria etc.).
  • Prepare/supervise the preparation of all the Transfer Pricing documents for the Italian Group entities (e.g. Local File and CbCR).
  • Planning and managing of the Internal Tax Audits.
  • Supporting:
    • The compliance regarding Tax Credits and other tax incentives; 
    • The proper management of non-routine activities as per Cooperative Compliance requirements;
    • Eventual tax rebounds of M&A activities performed on Italian entities.
       

Experience Required

At least 3/5 years within Tax roles for Italian entities or tax consultancy firms
 

Education

Degree in Economics or Law.
 

Languages

Fluency in Italian (legal/tax jargon); good command of English

Technical Skills

  • Suite Office
  • Knowledge of relevant tax tools (Desktop Telematico, FiscoOnline)
  • Familiarity with SAP and Fiscalone will be considered a plus.
