Global Communications & Public Affairs

Global Communications & Public Affairs (GC&PA) translates the Chiesi Group’s strategy into programs and plans across internal communication and external relations. It also participates in strategic decisions that impact the Company’s global reputation, contributing to creating and maintaining meaningful relationships with all the people and institutions around and inside Chiesi. GC&PA works to convey quality and accessible information both inside and outside the Company, while also driving the business and guiding strategic external engagement within our global community to build and protect our reputation. To achieve this, the department is structured into dedicated teams: Internal Communications, External Communications, Digital Communications, Air & Care Communications, Rare Communications and the Public Affairs team.

Who we are looking for

This is what you will do

As Public Affairs Specialist for Chiesi’s AIR Therapeutic Area, you will play a central role in shaping and implementing global public affairs strategies that support the company’s mission and commercial priorities. You will provide intelligence, insights, and stakeholder‑engagement strategies that allow Chiesi to anticipate and respond to an evolving healthcare, policy, and regulatory landscape. This includes operating within a cross‑functional environment, building trust with internal and external stakeholders, and influencing key policy developments 

You will be responsible for

  • Co‑developing and executing advocacy strategies and campaigns aligned with AIR Therapeutic Area objectives.
  • Drafting position papers, briefing documents, and advocacy materials for external stakeholders.
  • Partnering with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment between public affairs initiatives and commercial priorities.
  • Conducting research and policy analysis to identify external opportunities and risks.
  • Monitoring and reporting on legislative, regulatory, and market developments at local, national, and international levels.
  • Analyzing media coverage and public discourse to inform advocacy and communication approaches.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with policymakers, regulators, industry associations, advocacy groups, and thought leaders.
  • Supporting the planning and execution of advocacy campaigns and stakeholder‑engagement activities.
  • Actively supporting the growth, development, and visibility of the Global Public Affairs team.

You will need to have

  • Bachelor's degree in political science, Public Policy, International Relations, Law, Communications, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in public affairs, government relations, or policy roles, preferably in pharma, healthcare, or life sciences.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems, regulatory frameworks, and policy environments at EU and global levels.
  • High English proficiency. 

 

  • Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across cultures, teams, and geographies.
  • Proactive, adaptable mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities. 

We would prefer for you to have

  • A Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience directly linked to respiratory health, therapeutic areas, or related policy environments.

Location

Parma, with occasional travel required.
