This is what you will do
As a Privacy Counsel working in the Global Privacy Office, the role will primarily involve supporting the privacy-related activities of the EU Top5 & EU Mid-Size Regions in implementing and maintaining Chiesi Group’s data protection program and advising the relevant European affiliates. Supporting AI compliance initiatives will be a complementary aspect of the role, as well.
You will be responsible for
- Support the Global Privacy Office as well as the relevant Business Function, where needed, in implementing privacy programs and corporate standards across Europe and supporting the European affiliates with their day-to-day privacy-related questions.
- Assist AI compliance activities by helping review AI projects, identify potential risks, and maintain up-to-date documentation. Help draft, revise, and organize compliance documents and support day-to-day operational processes.
- Support drafting, reviewing, and maintaining privacy, and, where needed, AI-related documentation, including Privacy Policies and Notices, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), consent forms, Records of Processing Activities, etc.
- Help conduct assessments (PIAs, DPIAs, FRIAs etc.) and assist with risk analysis activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Legal, ICT, Business Units) to ensure Privacy and AI compliance considerations are integrated into new projects, products, and initiatives.
- Assist with privacy inquiries, incidents, or breaches coming from the affiliates and escalate as needed.
- Support organization of privacy training, and, where needed, AI-related, sessions and awareness campaigns for employees.
- Monitor regulatory developments and industry trends in data privacy and AI.
You will need to have
- Bachelor’s degree in Law; post-graduate specialization in Data Protection, Privacy, or AI law is a plus.
- 2–4 years of experience in privacy, compliance, or regulatory roles, ideally in multinational corporations or law firms.
- Working knowledge of EU and local data protection laws (i.e. GDPR) and familiarity with emerging AI regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of other European languages is an advantage.
- Good working knowledge of Office 365 tools, including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Self-motivated, proactive, reliable, with good planning skills and the ability to meet agreed deadlines and deliver tasks on time.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional and international teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
We would prefer for you to have
- Familiarity with privacy management systems (e.g., OneTrust) is a plus.
- Privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP/E) or AI ethics/compliance certifications.
