Chiesi Research & Development
Our R&D team represents a fundamental asset for the business. It is divided into integrated functional areas focusing on pipeline projects including discovery and preclinical research, global technical development, drug delivery technology, clinical development, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, intellectual property, quality assurance, R&D project and portfolio management. Headquartered in the new purpose-built and fully integrated Research and Development Centre in Parma (Italy), the team also has important operations in Paris (France), Chippenham (UK), Cary (US), Stockholm (Sweden), Toronto (Canada) and Shanghai (China).
Who we are looking for
Purpose
- Provide support to all GTD departments for product and process development through the use of advanced data processing techniques such as In-silico simulations, statistical and physical/mathematical modelling, advanced analytics
- Provide support to the implementation of CFD/DEM models on aerosol deposition in airways
Main Responsibilities
- Development of physical models using OPEN Foam/Aspherix/Paraview
- Development of physical models using python/matlab or other scientific languages
- Development of statistical models using python/matlab or other scientific languages
- Ability to create and elaborate mesh using Ryno/Salome/Gmsh
- Creating elaboration tools to be included into GTD platform
- Design and deploy models and simulations based on GTD needs.
Education
Degree in scientific disciplines (preferably Physics, Mathematics, Engineering)
Languages
English: fluent
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of the main simulation and modelling techniques used in computational physics
- Knowledge of the main statistical analysis techniques for CFD/DEM postprocessing
- Knowledge of python
