Who we are looking for
Purpose
Join our dynamic Global Tax team, where your expertise will drive global impact and innovation!
Main Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Head of Global Tax:
- Coordinates the Group tax compliance program (second-level review) with the Affiliates within his/her geographical scope, ensuring compliance is timely fulfilled, risks are managed and viable opportunities are properly assessed.
- Act as a primary point of contact for international tax matters for the Affiliates within his/her Region.
- In close cooperation with HR (Int’l Mobility) and external consultants, handles the tax-related items of the Group International Mobility processes.
- Manages tax items of M&A activities, cooperating with deal teams, both in the due diligence phase as well as during subsequent steps (e.g. legal drafting, integration etc.), acting as primary contact/coordinator
- univocally for Local Deals within his/her Region;
- on a rotation basis with other unit colleagues, for Global Deals.
- Supports the Affiliates in their international tax topics, in light of the Group reporting requirements, such as for TP and PILLAR 2 purposes (and eventual future BEFIT or ESG compliance), ensuring indications coming from TP Management are properly implemented or questions are properly channeled to the most appropriate addressee within the Global Tax Unit (should case be).
- Support on managing the Group external tax audits, within his/her geographical scope, contributing to strategy definition, in coordination with Affiliates/consultants.
- Monitors, in coordination with the other components of the Global Tax Unit, legislative and regulatory tax law developments with a potential impact for Chiesi activities within his/her Region.
- Will support the Group Tax Risk Manager in the deployment within her/his Region of forthcoming Group templates for the management of fiscal risks.
- Teams up with Transfer Pricing and Tax Italy colleagues on cross-functional tasks and projects.
- Depending on learning-by-doing upskilling, acts as primary point of contacts for certain peculiar tax items (e.g. finance, real estate etc.) or special projects.
Experience Required
At least 5 years in the field of taxation, with a minimum exposure of 2 years in international tax topics/multinational context
Education
Degree in Economics or Law
Languages
Fluent English.
Italian is not mandatory.
Technical Skills
- In-depth knowledge of the main international tax topics, with reference to both direct and indirect taxes
- Familiarity with Italian tax matters stemming from activities in int’l context
- Recent exposure to M&A processes
- Good knowledge of the main TP issues
