Our R&D team represents a fundamental asset for the business. It is divided into integrated functional areas focusing on pipeline projects including discovery and preclinical research, global technical development, drug delivery technology, clinical development, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, intellectual property, quality assurance, R&D project and portfolio management. Who we are looking for
Purpose
Responsible for managing in vivo pharmacology studies across Discovery and Development programs, applying knowledge of advanced principles, theories, and concepts in respiratory arena.
Main Responsibilities
Design, execution and interpret in vivo pharmacology studies to evaluate the efficacy of new molecules and investigate their mechanisms of action.
Design and develop new in vivo in models of lung fibrosis and make cross talking with imaging modalities (BLI, FMT and Micro-CT)
Experience Required
At least 2 years of relevant industry or research experience with in vivo studies
Education
Scientific degree (Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, Veterinary, Animal Science or similar discipline)
PhD preferred, but it is not mandatory.
Languages
Italian and english
Technical Skills
• Experience with conducting in vivo models of disease and evaluating pharmacological interventions.
• Demonstrated ability for Animals handling (mice and rats), able to perform treatments with the major ways of administration independently.
• Plan own activities and weekly schedule with guidance in accordance with objectives and priorities.
• Experience troubleshooting and validating in vivo assays.
• Basic experience in the principal in vitro/ex vivo lab activities (i.e., protein/RNA extraction from animal tissues, PCR and ELISA assays)
• Knowledge of imaging techniques (i.e., bioluminescence, fluorescence, and Micro CT), and ex vivo histological procedures (i.e., IHC, staining) is considered a plus.
• Processing of results and basic statistical data analysis (Excel, GraphPad Prism)
