Air and Care Franchise
Within the three Business Units (Discover more here), Air and Care Franchises are responsible for the development and implementation of the Therapeutic Area Strategies. Each Franchise is organized by stage of development with fully empowered and enhanced teams of: Pipeline Development Team - focused on delivering innovation and programs leadership accountabilities in close collaboration with R&D, Commercial Portfolio Management Team - focused on maximizing the benefit for the patients and the full potential of marketed / close-to-launch assets, including Life Cycle Management strategies.
Air and Care Franchises are also supported by the Medical Affairs, Value & Access, and Business Excellence & Customer Experience Global functions.

Within these departments, you will actively support the Air and Care Franchises businesses. These units are responsible for the development and implementation of the Therapeutic Area Strategies. Each Franchise is organized by stage of development with fully empowered and enhanced teams of: Pipeline Development and Commercial Portfolio Management.

If you are interested in developing skills in leveraging scientific information to generate data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making, our Scientific Knowledge Team is the right place for you.
As an intern, you will work cross-functionally with teams such as R&D, the AIR&CARE Franchise, and Business Development, supporting competitor and target analyses and contributing to ad hoc research projects across Chiesi’s core therapeutic areas.
You’ll be involved in following activities:
- Support Scientific Intelligence activities
- Assist in daily monitoring and selection of information (e.g., news, clinical trials, literature, competitor websites, pipelines, congresses), also leveraging AI-based research tools
- Assist with targeted bibliographic research
- Support competitor and emerging technology monitoring and analysis
- Contribute to strategic exercises in the company’s key therapeutic areas for R&D
You will need to have
- Master’s degree in a scientific field, preferably Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, or Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology (CTF)
- Basic knowledge of the drug development process and basic understanding of medical and pharmacological concepts
- Familiarity with databases, tools, and sources for scientific information retrieval (medical bibliographic databases, pipeline databases, clinical trial registries, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of key information retrieval techniques (source selection, search strategies, result analysis and selection)
- Fluent English (spoken and written), at least C1. An study experience aborad will be consider a plus
- Analytical and synthesis skills
- Proactivity
- Ability to work in a team.
Location
Parma, Paolo Chiesi R&D Campus. Flexible combination of on-site presence and remote training possible.
