Who we are looking for

Purpose

The Trademark Specialist is responsible for ensuring the protection, management and development of trademarks portfolio inside the Group and assure results aligned with its strategic objectives through competencies, proactivity, high quality services and ever closer and more dynamic relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
 

Main Responsibilities

  • Execute domestic and international trademark searches, including trademark screening and searching online as well as evaluation of search results and opinions, to determine availability and scope of potential rights. 
  • Monitor existing Global trademarks, through online watching services.
  • Provide support to local Attorneys in filing, renewal and opposition matters.
  • Maintaining trademark application, registration and conflict portfolio management database, including data entry, docket review and preparation of reports for attorneys and business units. 
  • Instruct and support local Attorneys in filing, renewal and opposition matters.
  • Prepare status charts, due date reports and summaries of current trademarks protection.
  • Support to geo-expansion project of trademarks product ensuring all the trademark activities to be aligned with the product registration and launch.
     

Experience Required

2-3 years of Trademark experience in Intellectual Property and/or legal environment. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Law. Other degree with related work experience may be used in lieu of formal education.
 

Languages

Fluent English
 

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of the most relevant trademark laws and regulations.
  • Experience in on-line database searching, including trademark databases and other on-line sources (i.e. SAEGIS, TESS, TMview, WIPO Global Brand Database).
  • Proficiency in related computer applications including Word, Excel, Power Point and database management, preferably CPI – Trademark Management System
  • Knowledge of Copyright Law and regulations is a plus.
