Air and Care Franchise 

Within the three Business Units (Discover more here), Air and Care Franchises are responsible for the development and implementation of the Therapeutic Area Strategies. Each Franchise is organized by stage of development with fully empowered and enhanced teams of: Pipeline Development Team - focused on delivering innovation and programs leadership accountabilities in close collaboration with R&D, Commercial Portfolio Management Team - focused on maximizing the benefit for the patients and the full potential of marketed / close-to-launch assets, including Life Cycle Management strategies.

Air and Care Franchises are also supported by the Medical Affairs, Value & Access, and Business Excellence & Customer Experience Global functions.

Within these departments, you will actively support the Air and Care Franchises businesses. These units are responsible for the development and implementation of the Therapeutic Area Strategies. Who we are looking for

Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Global Patient Demand Forecasting Lead to lead and optimize the forecasting process for patient demand across our global portfolio. This key role will involve using advanced data analytics, market insights, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop accurate, actionable forecasts that drive global business strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of demand forecasting, patient population dynamics, and the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead Global Forecasting: Develop and manage the global patient demand forecasting process for the AIR product portfolio, ensuring alignment with business goals and market dynamics.
  • Data Integration and Analysis: Analyse historical data, market trends, and external factors (e.g., epidemiology, healthcare policies) to generate accurate forecasts for patient demand across multiple regions and therapeutic areas.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with affiliates, marketing, supply chain, and manufacturing to align on assumptions, inputs, and data requirements. Act as the primary point of contact for patient demand-related forecasting activities across the organization.
  • Market & Segmentation Insights: Develop in-depth understanding of different patient segments and markets, incorporating various assumptions and proxies where necessary. Tailor forecasts for local, regional, and global needs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve the forecasting model and processes. Implement best practices and innovations to enhance forecast accuracy and business outcomes.
  • Scenario Planning & Sensitivity Analysis: Conduct scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis to understand the impact of market changes and uncertainties on patient demand and advise key stakeholders on potential risks and opportunities.
  • Reporting & Communication: Deliver clear, data-driven insights and forecasts to senior management and key business units, ensuring transparency and alignment on demand projections.
  • Technology & Tools: Leverage advanced forecasting tools and technologies, ensuring effective data management and efficient model deployment. Continuously evaluate and optimize forecasting tools and platforms.
  • Market Research & Competitive Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive activities, and evolving market dynamics that could impact patient demand and inform forecasting assumptions.
  • Collaborate with Compliance teams to ensure all forecasts align with global trade regulations and market access requirements.
  • Incorporate product lifecycle analysis into demand forecasting models to anticipate changes in demand patterns across global markets.
  • Develop contingency plans for supply disruptions or regulatory changes that may impact demand forecasts.

Experience and Skills Required

  • 5+ years of experience in demand forecasting, commercial analytics, or related roles within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical devices industry.
  • Risk (trade) and Scenario Planning to anticipate challenges (regulatory changes, tariffs or logistical disruptions).
  • Proven experience in managing global demand forecasting processes, ideally in patient-based forecasting or market access forecasting.
  • Proficiency in trade and logistics management tools (e.g., SAP ERP, Oracle Supply Chain) 
  • Strong proficiency in using advanced forecasting tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, R, Python, or other forecasting software).

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Life Sciences, Statistics, or a related field (Master's preferred).

Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
