Global Procurement 

With the aim of complying with internal procedures to safeguard corporate interests, Global Procurement Department ensures the best conditions for the supply of goods and services, striving to guarantee the highest level of internal customer satisfaction. It conducts its commercial and operational activities with fairness, transparency, traceability, responsibility, and ethics, in collaboration with all other corporate functions.
Organized by Teams — Direct, Indirect, Sustainable and R&D Procurement — the Function is structured to best support the entire Group and respond effectively to diverse business needs.

Who we are looking for

This is what you will do

Belonging to the Global Direct Procurement team, the position reports to the Global Category Lead Primary Packaging & Devices Lead and is in charge of Procurement of Primary Packaging & Devices at Corporate level.

You will be responsible for

  • Execute the spend analysis by sub-category and analyse the spend forecast, for possible consolidation and synergies of spend. Identify and bring savings and cost avoidance opportunities. 
  • Guarantee the correct process of supplier engagement and selection (e.g.: RFI, bidding, financial analysis, tendering, offer alignment and evaluation, approval process, rating etc.) in accordance with Procurement policies and procedures.
  • Manage the Direct Materials Standard Costs preparation in accordance with Chiesi timeline and procedures.
  • Ensure the supplier qualification process in accordance with Chiesi Sustainable Procurement guidelines and support the escalation process in case of problems.
  • Guarantee the correct supplier evaluation in accordance with Chiesi Sustainable Procurement guidelines, involving and supporting Operations colleagues in the suppliers evaluation process. Identify area of improvement on quality of services or goods and grant all procedures and policies established by our company are respected.
  • Manage the Suppliers Portfolio consistently between Supplier Criticality, Sourcing Strategy and Risk Analysis and properly manage the Strategic Suppliers fostering partnership relationship, implementing the specific supplier management governance identified. 
  • Define and monitor KPIs in order to analyse results, define and share corrective actions, keep track of buying performance.
  • Define, share, negotiate, evaluate and renew Supply Agreements, leveraging on company volumes and guaranteeing the respect of Procurement, Legal and Sustainability guidelines. 
  • Manage and follow-up of industrial purchase orders.
  • Manage any potential litigation with suppliers.
  • Preparation & management of supplier interviews in collaboration with the internal departments (Supply Chain, Production, Quality Assurance, etc.).
  • Respect the Code of Conduct, Policy anti-bribery and other policies of our program of Ethics and Integrity.

You will need to have

  • Academic degree in Engineering or Economics.
  • Over 4 years of experience in the Procurement field within an international and structured company
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to manage cross-functional and international relations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in contract management and supplier negotiations.

 

  • Problem solving and high focus on goals achievement.
  • Operational flexibility, time management and scheduling priority.
  • Analytical skills.

We would prefer for you to have

  • Knowledge on SAP ERP system.
  • Previous experience in a pharmaceutical company will be considered a plus

Location

Please note that the position is open across Europe. The selected candidate may choose their base location but will be required to travel periodically to Parma, where the headquarters is located.

Availability for business trips is required
