Who we are looking for

Purpose

Belonging to the Global Direct Procurement team, the position reports to the Global Category Lead API & Excipients and is in charge of Procurement of API & Excipients at Corporate level.

Main Responsibilities

  • Execute spend analysis and forecast for API & Excipients category
  • Identify and bring savings and cost avoidance opportunities
  • Ensure Market Analysis for the most critical raw materials, guarantying the updating of market drivers and price trends
  • Guarantee the correct process of supplier engagement and selection (e.g.: RFI, bidding, financial analysis,tendering, offer alignment and evaluation, approval process, rating etc.) in accordance with Procurement policies and procedures
  • Manage the Direct Materials Standard Costs preparation in accordance with Chiesi timeline and procedures
  • Ensure the supplier qualification process in accordance with Chiesi Sustainable Procurement guidelines
  • Give guidance to the Operations colleagues and involve them in the suppliers evaluation
  • Identify areas of improvement on the quality of services or goods and grant all company procedures and policies are respected
  • Manage the Suppliers Portfolio consistently between Supplier Criticality, Sourcing Strategy and Risk Analysis and properly manage the Strategic Suppliers fostering partnership relationships
  • Define and monitor KPIs in order to analyse results, define and share corrective actions, keep track of buying performance
  • Define, share, negotiate, evaluate and renew Supply Agreements, leveraging on company volumes and guaranteeing the respect of Procurement, Legal and Sustainability guidelines
  • Manage and follow-up of industrial purchase orders
  • Manage any potential litigation with suppliers
  • Preparation & management of supplier interviews in collaboration with the internal departments (SupplyChain, Production, Quality Assurance, etc.)
  • Respect the Code of Conduct, Policy anti-bribery and other policies of our program of Ethics and Integrity.

Experience Required

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP system will be considered a plus

Education

Academic degree in Engineering or Economics

Languages

Fluent in English
