Purpose

The GRD Pipeline and Portfolio Project Manager supports the GCST and GPST Chairs and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the GCST and GPST project objectives. He/She establishes the operational alignment of the team, ensuring that the team drives the approved projects according to the new operating model.  
He/She will work to manage GCST/GPST multi-member teams, and to assist with project tracking, development, and adaptation. The PM role encompasses multifaceted responsibilities that require a blend of leadership and operational expertise.  The PM will be responsible for all aspects of on-going execution of GPST/GCST team meetings, projects, communications, and actions. Strong communication skills are essential as the role involves internal management of relationships and routine coordination of multiple functional area leaders.
 

Main Responsibilities

  • Accountable for overall GCST/GPST program management for assigned projects using appropriate project planning tools. Communicate milestones, critical path activities and assign internal and external responsibilities to ensure the project achieves all deliverables per the requirements and agreed upon timeline.
  • Act as a liaison between the GCST/GPST membership and project team members. Effective communication is crucial to ensure alignment, manage expectations, and address any concerns or issues that arise.
  • Establish and facilitate effective meetings and communication plan to ensure implementation of decisions and success of projects.
  • Coordinate and facilitate GPST/GCST meetings, creating minutes and ensuring appropriate time keeping.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools, track project milestones and deliverables (Geo-Expansion, Brand Planning, Business Development evaluations, etc), develop and deliver progress reports.
  • Responsible for activities of a highly complex nature, which may include small projects involving multiple project workstreams, and act as a single point of contact for those activities. 
  • Collect and distribute activity background materials and other supporting documents/materials for team members.
  • Monitor and track assignment progress.
  • Proactively share across portfolios (HIDO, AIM, ENDO/MET) and build alignment in approach. 
  • Carefully monitor assignment costs to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of resource use.
  • Accountable and ensure the development of an integrated and updated project communication plan aligning scientific, IP, commercial and reputational considerations for both internal and external audiences.
  • Identify issues and problems related to projects in a timely manner and recommend and carry out appropriate adjustments, in coordination with GPST/GCST Chairs
  • Maintain routine communications with Chairs and members to ensure that they are supported throughout the course of their assignments/projects, and to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Actively seek opportunities to enhance ways of working and implement best practices to improve overall project management of GPST/GCST efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Effectively facilitate lesson learning at the conclusion of projects to ensure we capture best practices, receive constructive feedback, and develop solutions and action plans to make the next project a success.
  • Training and onboarding of new employees within same role, as requested.
     

Experience Required
