Chiesi Global Rare Diseases

Chiesi Global Rare Diseases is a Chiesi Group’s business unit established in February 2020 and focused on research, development and commercialization of treatments and patient support services for rare and ultra-rare disorders, many of whom have limited or no treatments available.

This unit is based in Boston, Massachusetts, with a strong synergy with the headquarters in Parma. 

Rare unit has a focus on research and product development for lysosomal storage diseases, rare hematology, ophthalmology disorders and rare immunodeficiencies. The unit is also a dedicated partner with global leaders in scientific research, patient advocacy and care. Discover more here.

 

What we are looking for

Purpose

We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Business Support Specialist to join and support the GRD Business Support Service team, reporting to the GRD Global Head of Business Support Services.

The incumbent will be focused mainly in supporting the EU & International team cross functionally supporting EU & Intl functions as needed in a global environment, working cooperatively with all the teams interacting with local functions in the countries, coordinating back office activities with Brand Leads, Medical Leads, Patient Advocacy function, liaising with external stakeholders including HCP and HCO for activities arrangements, contracts managements and projects development.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure that administrative tasks are run efficiently and effectively, according to company procedures and policies, using SAP;
  • Enhance quick and effective communication and information sharing across the EU & Intl Community and cross functional activities with the other functions in the BU, leveraging digital tools to set and monitor recurring Meetings and Calls and manage common repositories and project material;
  • Gather inputs of the team on specific initiatives and liaise with the right reference person in Chiesi organization to ensure the preparation of all the internal and external documentation according to internal procedure including market researches, consultancy contracts drafting and signing and DIKESI platform filing;
  • Manage scientific meetings arrangements according to pharma industry regulations, and to internal Standard Operative Procedures;
  • Manage Multichannels activities in coordination with the team;
  • Monitor ongoing initiatives and ensure deadlines and expectations are met;
  • Lead specific project initiatives and work cooperatively with other team members to guarantee the deployment of support activities; 
  • Ensure budget monitoring through internal budget trackers files and costs control;
  • Arrange meeting with Affiliates

Experience Required

  • Previous working experience is nice to have but not mandatory
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point etc)

Education

Bachelor Degree

Languages

Fluent English is a must
