Chiesi Research & Development
Our R&D team represents a fundamental asset for the business. It is divided into integrated functional areas focusing on pipeline projects including discovery and preclinical research, global technical development, drug delivery technology, clinical development, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, intellectual property, quality assurance, R&D project and portfolio management. Headquartered in the new purpose-built and fully integrated Research and Development Centre in Parma (Italy), the team also has important operations in Paris (France), Chippenham (UK), Cary (US), Stockholm (Sweden), Toronto (Canada) and Shanghai (China).
Who we are looking for
This is what you will do
Subject matter expert of Project management in the organization that has an impact on the coordination of a product or set of products life, at all stages of the product lifecycle. Responsible for coordinating the project team in translating the project strategy into an overall cross functional integrated plan and for providing routine base update of project status
You will be responsible for

Develop and continuously update an integrated cross-functional project plan covering the full product lifecycle, including post-approval lifecycle management, ensuring alignment with Therapeutic Area strategy.

Coordinate the project team to define the risk profile, mitigation actions, and integrate them into the overall plan.

Support budget definition, monitor and challenge project spending to ensure consistency with product/Therapeutic Area strategy.

Facilitate project governance by maintaining key project documentation and ensuring governance processes are followed.

Identify roadblocks and deadlocks, drive consensus, and enable timely decision-making across functions.

Build and support an empowered project team together with the Global Project Leader and Development Leader, providing feedback and supporting development objectives.

Define project objectives, scope, critical milestones, priorities, and roles & responsibilities with key leaders.

Translate strategic options into a feasible development plan, balancing value, risk, and trade-offs for the company, and proactively coordinate execution.

Track project progress and regularly communicate status, milestones, risks, and budget performance to stakeholders and governance bodies.

Collaborate with Alliance Management on partnership projects and support evaluation/due diligence for potential new projects.

Promote project management culture, tools, and lean processes to improve efficiency and execution quality.
You will need to have
-
Degree in Life Sciences, Economics, or Management/Engineering-related disciplines.

International Project Management certification preferred (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2).

Minimum 5 years of experience in product development, ideally including new product development.

Proven ability to work in highly matrixed organizations and manage cross-functional, multicultural teams; resilient, flexible, and quick learner.

Strong leadership in team dynamics and discussions, with the confidence to address and resolve conflict.

Excellent influencing and consensus-building skills, able to align diverse stakeholders, drive critical milestones, and proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
We would prefer for you to have

Extensive experience with project management tools and processes

Ability to synthesize complex inputs and drive critical decisions to recommend solutions

Strong communication and presentation skills, including executive-level written and oral communication

Proficient in Microsoft Office and Planisware; knowledge of other project management software is a plus
