GLOBAL COMMUNICATIONS & PUBLIC AFFAIRS
Global Communications & Public Affairs (GC&PA) translates the Chiesi Group’s strategy into programs and plans across internal communication and external relations. It also participates in strategic decisions that impact the Company’s global reputation, contributing to creating and maintaining meaningful relationships with all the people and institutions around and inside Chiesi. GC&PA works to convey quality and accessible information both inside and outside the Company, while also driving the business and guiding strategic external engagement within our global community to build and protect our reputation. To achieve this, the department is structured into dedicated teams: Internal Communications, External Communications, Digital Communications, Air & Care Communications, Rare Communications and the Public Affairs team.
Who we are looking for
This is what you will do
You will join the Global Communications & Public Affairs team, supporting the AIR Communications team. In this role, you will partner day‑to‑day with the AIR Franchise cross‑functional teams to deliver internal and external global communications, helping to enhance their reputation and support their commercial objectives.
You will contribute to content development, channel management, and alignment processes, ensuring clear and consistent updates across Global and Affiliate.
You will be responsible for
Internal communications (day-to-day)
- Maintain regular alignment with AIR Franchise cross-functional teams to ensure that the identified AIR news and milestones will be promptly communicated.
- Draft, edit and publish global internal updates across AIR core channels; manage reviews with key internal stakeholders, and ensure on-time distribution.
- Support AIR Franchise cross-functional teams to keep the Chiesi intranet AIR pages up to date and information “findable” through a central hub / “single source of truth” approach.
- Supporting AIR internal social media community content: draft posts (often on behalf of LT members), support a regular posting cadence, and encourage sharing/best practices across Global and Affiliates.
- Liaise with the Group Internal Communications colleagues to map and prepare post relevant for global Chiesi community
- Supporting internal events communications (e.g., townhalls / internal initiatives) with clear invitations, guidance and follow-up content.
External communications (day-to-day)
- Draft and coordinate press releases/articles and external news (including review cycles, approvals, and alignment with Group Communications and other relevant functions).
- Support congress communications execution: media engagement/pitches, press releases around milestones, and coordinating social media activities around events (including senior leader social engagement where relevant).
- Prepare and coordinate social media content for corporate channels and internal colleagues (e.g., LinkedIn) and ensure compliance reminders/guardrails are followed.
- Help protect and enhance Chiesi’s AIR franchise reputation across geographies, working closely with key stakeholders to understand strategic priorities and communications needs
- Support “issue / sensitive” communications in coordination with Global teams (e.g., supply risk communications): support internal cascade, and route external enquiries appropriately
Coordination and ways of working
- Work cooperatively with other team members (across the franchises and the global comms community) to ensure a smooth communications flow; promptly share information which may impact other areas and roles.
- Work with Affiliates to ensure smooth information flow, share updates and support localization needs
- Run review and approval processes (especially for high-stake announcements), keeping contributors aligned on deadlines, versions, and next steps.
- Manage external/contract support when needed (briefing, oversight of quality/compliance, and delivery follow through)
You will need to have
- Bachelor’s degree in science with a specialization in Communications or Communications/Social or Political Sciences/Economics (or others) with a specialization in healthcare.
- At least 5 years’ experience in Healthcare Communications/Marketing either in agency with pharma clients or in multinational pharma companies
- Native or Proficiency in English (Italian as a plus).
- Strong writing skills and storytelling, able to produce clear, accurate content under time pressure and competing priorities.
- Stakeholder management, and the ability to deliver high-quality outputs under time pressure and competing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and visual judgement (content quality and design oversight).
- Comfort coordinating across multiple internal channels and managing end-to-end content delivery.

Location
The position is open at European level, with a preference for candidates in the UK or Italy, where the team is currently based.
If the person is based in Italy, a presence of 2/3 days per week in Parma office will be required
