Job purpose
Medical Science Liaison (MSL) acts as a bridge between Chiesi and healthcare professionals, researchers, and other stakeholders in the medical community. MSLs play a crucial role in disseminating accurate and up-to-date scientific information about the company's products, therapies, and areas of research. MSLs work on field and in cross-departmental projects, providing excellent customer service to the medical community through in-depth scientific interactions, presentations and detailed clinical data. MSLs are spending at least 30% of the working time traveling.
What you will be doing:
• Keep up to date with relevant clinical development of the products and the disease areas to act as an ‘expert medical resource’
• Provide high quality, accurate and timely scientific advice (proactive or reactive based on the local code) to healthcare professionals regarding the company’s products and its associated disease areas
• Organise and perform workshops, presentations, webinars, symposia (scientific briefings)
• Support Field Force by responding to specific queries regarding marketed or in clinical development products
• Identify and develop professional relationships with the healthcare community and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), in the dedicated therapeutic areas
• Report and monitor feedback from HCPs on scientific issues
• Gather and report insights from the field
• Support scientific pre/post-launch-activities in accordance with local legislative regulations
• Provide scientific education to the field force and other stakeholders by constant interactions
• Provide support to local and international trials/studies
• Support training programs for HCPs
• Participate in corporate projects
• Support the organization and execution of advisory boards
• Support competitive intelligence by representing Chiesi at national and international scientific events
• Act as a member of international Chiesi Groups
• Gather and answer to any medical inquiries
What are we looking for:
• University degree in bio-medical studies (MD, PharmD, Biology preferred)
• Master’s degree in bio-medical studies will be a plus
• Nice to have professional experience in Pharma business, as MSL or in a different position
• Good to proficient level of English language (B2 level and above)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Highly adaptable to new technologies and trends
• Analytical thinking and creative problem-solving orientation
• Agility, good collaboration skills, business acumen
