What will you do?

You now have the opportunity to take the lead at Chiesi Benelux to have an impact for patients, the planet and people. As a Shared Value & Sustainability Business Partner, you are the living proof that sustainability is at the heart of our organization. You lead the translation and execution of the corporate sustainability and social responsibility strategy in the Benelux organization. You will engage the Benelux organization and the external stakeholders on the journey of shared value creation, while ensuring the company objectives are met, the proper data collection and management is performed, and the SV&S approach and improvement plans are defined in line with our global shared value and sustainability strategy and journey of measurement and improvement as B Corp certified company.

The Shared Value & Sustainability (SV&S) Business Partner draws up this improvement strategy and advises the leadership team on the decisions that need to be made to realize these plans. Of course, we want to maintain our B Corp certification and progress in our social and environmental performance and in this role, you will lead the process to achieve the second re-certification moment in 2025. 

The SV&S Business Partner ensures that both internal and external stakeholders know what Shared Value & Sustainability entails for our company and how we put it into practice. Especially as the concept of shared value ensures also how sustainability connects to our business goals. You will work proactively with all departments, for example marketing, communication, public affairs and all the functions involved in the sustainability data collection.  

Furthermore you will:

• Act as main point of contact for the Global SV&S team and ensure relevant information is spread locally across the relevant departments, so that SV&S local plans are executed according to the specific areas of responsibilities;
• Define the local Benelux strategy on Shared Value & Sustainability together with the Benelux Leadership Team and in line with corporate objectives;
• Provide tailor-made content to support the departments that directly interact with customers, key opinion leaders or other relevant external stakeholders;
• Implement and/or lead local sustainability projects and campaigns and support the organization and communication of local events (like We Act Day and Climbing for Life);
• Be responsible for all internal data collection and reporting on Shared Value & Sustainability for local & global reviews;
• Formulate areas for improvement based on the output of the Sustainability Assessments, audits and B Corp Impact Assessment (BIA);
• Initiate and organize projects and activities for the development of the local community and increasing the involvement of stakeholders;
• Coordinate the communication regarding SV&S, works together with the Communication & Events Specialist.

Who are we looking for?

Someone with excellent communication skills and knowledge of sustainability from a business perspective. You are able to translate the sustainability strategy into a comprehensible language. You have a strategical mindset and excellent stakeholder management skills. Next to that, you are able to work independently, but you are also a strong teamplayer.  
 

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent by experience (sustainability, economics, environmental technology, communication).Minimum of 3 years of working experience preferably in a similar position;
• Experience with project-based work and independently managing and coordinating projects;
• Understanding of the needs of relevant stakeholders and combine this with strong communication and persuasion skills as well as the ability to build solid relationships across hierarchical and departmental boundaries;
• Affinity with and knowledge about corporate social responsibility topics;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and preferably Dutch or French.
