What will you do?

 

As a Public Affairs Lead you ensure a favorable business environment for Chiesi in Belgium (and Luxembourg). We encourage you to go beyond the pill and develop activities and interactions that truly make impact for patients, planet and people with prosperity for society. At Chiesi Benelux we walk the talk. You make sure that Chiesi is well positioned to shape and influence relevant policies in healthcare, medicines, and sustainability. A key goal of the role will be to build relationships with local stakeholders (such as patients associations and trade associations) to ensure Chiesi is respected as a thought leader and trusted partner in patient care and sustainability. 

 

The role will primarily focus on policies and activities impacting the Chiesi respiratory (AIR) business in the Belgium and will also be involved in policy areas affecting the Chiesi CARE and RARE businesses. Also, you will work closely together with our Public Affairs Lead The Netherlands on the execution of the Public Affairs strategy in the whole Benelux. 

 

Furthermore, you will: 

 

  • Shape the strategic stakeholder approach and the external influencing strategy of Chiesi Benelux in the local environment on relevant topics and area’s that support the Chiesi business;
  • Ensure alignment across Public Affairs, Market Access, Medical and Marketing strategies. To create added value through policy, stakeholder and health access management;
  • Translate the plans into instruments, activities, time plan, required budgets and expected results;
  • Ensure coordination with clients and other stakeholders in the organization about communication projects and processes while building the corporate brand;
  • Develop partnerships with associations of healthcare providers, patient associations, industry associations, thinktanks, etc., has close contact with relevant external stakeholders of Chiesi and has insight into their interests and wishes;
  • Drive agency management of vendors that support our local activities;
  • Ensure access to health care for patients through policy management or health equity project initiation and execution;
  • Manage and mitigate risks as result of policies directly impacting our business operations.
  • You will be part of the Benelux PaCoSuMa team, connecting the areas of Public Affairs, Communications, Shared Value & Sustainability and Market Access.

Who are we looking for?

 

Someone with fresh energy and the ambition to grow in Public Affairs. You bring a strategic mindset and outstanding stakeholder-management skills. You’re able to work autonomously when needed, yet thrive as a collaborative and trusted team player.

 

  • Master’s degree or equivalent by experience (for example communication, politics, business management);
  • Minimum of four years of working experience in a similar position, preferably in a network/knowledge organization;
  • Experience in networking in the field of politics, associations and key opinion leaders;
  • Knowledge of the media landscape (including social media);
  • Knowledge of the local political, economic and social developments in and around healthcare;
  • Experience with strategy development in Public Affairs is a plus;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in Dutch, French and English.
