Chiesi is seeking a Medical Advisor Rare Diseases to join the Benelux affiliate. This role offers a great opportunity for someone with a strong scientific background and a customer engaging profile who likes to help build the Rare Diseases business unit. What will you do?

 

For the business unit RARE we are looking for a Medical Advisor who helps to develop and realise the medical strategy of the business unit. You assure medical knowledge and offer scientific support to internal and external stakeholders. You facilitate evidence generation, build strategic patnerships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders, initiate patient related activities and work on reimbursement files with a high complexity.

 

Furthermore, you will: 

 

  • Keep your scientific knowledge up to date, flags up developments in the field and translates them into Chiesi’s practices;
  • Be familiar with the latest developments of products;
  • Help to assure the contents of product and clinical picture documentation and presentations based on latest science;
  • Maintain contacts with stakeholders about relevant scientific subjects, convinces people of Chiesi’s view and improves the company’s reputation;
  • Answer medical questions from patients and healthcare providers and arranges for their registration and handling. You have a 2nd-line role here (treatment of specific complaints/ questions for RARE);
  • Assess materials and activities on their technical and medical content and makes sure that only approved materials are worked with;
  • Arrange for the formation of dossiers to inform the registration authorities;
  • Provide support with the coordination of regular medical issues or coordinates smaller issues independently;
  • Identify and reports product complaints and PV notifications for the Pharmaceutical Affairs department, and follows them up;
  • Prepare Standard Response Letters (SRL) and Q&A documents;
  • Carry out assigned medical projects (studies, training);
  • Prepare and monitor project plans with specifications relating to time, staffing, budget and quality.

Who are we looking for?

 

Someone with a strong scientific background and interest in high complex medical files. You have excellent analytical skills and you are a strong teamplayer. Excellent communication skills in English are key for this role, French would be preferred. 


Furthermore you have:

 

  • Working and thinking level: masters, e.g. a completed medical, pharmacy or life sciences programme;
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the area of clinical research and/or market access;
  • Knowledge of and experience within the pharmaceutical care field;
  • Experience with the successful build-up and maintenance of a network;
  • Experience with the use of electronic information systems;
  • Experience with project-based working and independent project management and coordination;
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical advertising legislation (‘CGR’);
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility; frequent travel is part of the job, you will be traveling about 20% of your time.
