Objective
POSITION CONTEXT
Global Capabilities Network (GCN) is an organization which offers services to all Chiesi business units. The goal is to provide scalable, sustainable, and streamlined service delivery in the referring area (Europe, East Europe/APAC or Americas) for General Ledger process.
Position plays an active role in the transition processes of identified General Ledger and for Travel Expenses from local business unit to GCN organization; actively contributes to the process improvement and standardization initiatives.
POSITION PURPOSE
Ensure the delivery and execution of GL and T&E services for the assigned area. Facilitate and manage communication and issue resolution between external vendors as well as internal customers.
Acts in continuous contact with local finance organization for the processes in scope related matters. All activities are engaged in establishing and enhancing the satisfaction of internal and external customers and stakeholders.
Main responsabilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare and upload to SAP GL postings, ensuring to meet the company’s closing deadlines
• Upload to SAP GL postings received by local finance teams, after preliminary checks on the file structure
• Prepare and upload to SAP accrual and deferral calculations
• Perform quarterly intercompany transactions reconciliation
• Produce periodic GL accounts reconciliations
• Assist Chiesi Colleagues in administrative matters connected to the responsibility area
• Run monthly exchange rate evaluation routine
• IFRS 16 Board usage: fill in contracts, follow the calculation execution and post in SAP
• Contributes to quality and continuous improvement goals, supports process simplification and activities assigned by TL
• Check and post credit card transactions
• Check and process TE Reports until the payment
• Assist local organizations in preparing TE reports
• Support on ad hoc projects
Qualifications
- Economic background (either academic or high-school diploma) and familiar with accounting principles
- 3-4 years of experience in a similar role or administrative activities
- Fluent English is a must
- Appreciated any other languages
- SAP skilled – must
- Board and BPC skilled – nice to have
- Strong IT skills: Proficient in MS Office, XL in particular
- Experience with international companies is an advantage
- Team worker, positive-minded and open to learn
- Continuous process improvement mindset
- Problem solving skills
