The Customer Project Manager contributes to optimizing the customer relationship and achieving the turnover targets. He/she does this by contributing to the marketing activities of the business unit and taking care of relationship management by independently developing and editing accounts through visits and initiating, executing and implementing projects.

Main Responsibilities

Customer Relation/Sales: You will build and maintain relationships with customers in such a way that optimal customer satisfaction and long-term customer relationships are achieved.

  • Manages its own (potential) customer base and maintains regular and frequent contact with them;
  • Advises/informs (potential) customers about Chiesi, its services, (new) products and developments;
  • Explores collaboration opportunities that contribute to the objectives of the DMU (customer decision maker) and Chiesi, which are based on extensive market and product knowledge;
  • Develops a concrete (project) proposal and/or cooperation agreement based on the information obtained and discusses it with (potential) customers;
  • Prepares visit reports and other correspondence with (potential) customers, ensures correct registration in the CRM system;
  • Ensures follow-up and implementation of contracts/cooperation agreements;
  • Oversees the service provision to existing accounts, monitors customer satisfaction and undertakes activities/actions to improve this;
  • Identifies developments, trends and projects in the market, identifies opportunities and threats and translates this into actions for Chiesi.

Market development & marketing: You have knowledge of the market and the various developments occurring in it 

  • Ensures that he/she is aware of developments at the customer, in the market, legislation and regulations and financial trends in the healthcare market, agreements with healthcare insurers and the products and services and responds accordingly;
  • Shares relevant market information and customer needs within the business unit, and other departments and thinks along about developments in existing services;
  • Contributes to market development activities and (omnichannel) marketing.

Project Plan: You will create project plans in such a way the frameworks and conditions for an efficient and effective project realization are established.

  • Studies the assignment/project information and consults with the Business Unit Director Special Care and, if relevant, other stakeholders about, among other things, project approach, phasing, division of roles, specific requirements and wishes;
  • Prepares the budget, budgeting and business cases of projects;
  • Promotes timely approval of the project plan by the BU Director Special Care, where applicable the client and any other stakeholders;
  • Assesses project risks (within the contract terms) and takes measures to mitigate risks.

Project Execution: You will realise the implementation of the project plan, as well as taking care of periodic reports, so that final results are achieved that meet the agreed project objectives and results recorded in the project plan.

  • Acts as a point of contact for the project environment and consults with the BU Director Special Care, if applicable the customer, the project team and other stakeholders.
  • Monitors internal and external developments that influence the execution of the project;
  • Monitors the delivery agreements (time and scope) of projects and communicates with stakeholders about the progress for the purpose of creating and maintaining support;
  • Responsible for periodic reports.


Experience Required

Bachelors degree in (para)medical training. Preferably additional education / training marketing.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Dutch and English;
Knowledge of and experience with the Dutch healthcare landscape;
Knowledge of CGR (compliance) legislation;
Knowledge of and experience with CRM/ERP systems.

Work experience

At least 5 years of work experience in a commercial position, preferably in a network/knowledge organization;
Experience in the pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry is preferred;
Experience with project management and project management and coordination;
Knowledge of and experience with marketing strategies and implementation techniques;
Experience in communicating at different levels
