Business Sales Controller

We’re looking for an experienced Business Sales Controller who thrives on turning data into strategic direction. In this role, you will be a key partner to Sales, Finance, and senior leadership. You bring clarity, challenge, and insight to commercial performance. What will you do?

 

Financial Analysis & Reporting

 

  • Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly sales reports and rolling forecasts.
  • Monitor performance versus budget, forecast, and key commercial KPIs.
  • Track and analyse import/export rate developments.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards that illuminate trends and opportunities.
  • Safeguard revenue recognition accuracy and ensure strong data integrity.

Sales Operations Support

 

  • Partner with Sales to establish robust rolling forecasts and annual budgets.
  • Contribute to pricing strategies through margin analysis and competitive insights.

Strategic Planning & Forecasting

 

  • Lead the annual sales budgeting and strategic planning cycle.
  • Build dynamic rolling forecasts and scenario-planning models.
  • Drive market, customer, and competitive intelligence assessments.
  • Support business cases for new product launches, market entries, and growth initiatives.
  • Participate in monthly business review meetings with cross-functional stakeholders.

Process Improvement & Compliance

 

  • Design and implement scalable reporting processes and internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with revenue recognition and accounting principles.
  • Identify and drive automation and process-efficiency improvements.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation (including rebates and sales tax).
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Who are we looking for?

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, sales operations, or business controlling.
  • Experience working with SAP, Board, or similar reporting environments.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus.


Technical Skills

 

  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modelling.
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Understanding of database management and core commercial KPIs.
