For our cluster Czech Republic&Slovakia located in Prague we are looking for experienced Head of Medical Affairs to lead small team of Medical Science Liaisons and Medical Advisors in both division AIR (respiratory) and CARE (transplantology, neonatology, critical care).

 

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading Medical Affairs teams CZ&SK - management and personnel responsibility for the employees of the Medical Department
  • Participate within Management team of Cluster CZ&SK – actively contributes to the team in providing input, experience, and support of other team members, taking part in decision making processes
  • Foster cross-functional cooperation with other Chiesi departments and external stakeholders
  • Ambassador’s role to outside world and larger Chiesi organization
  • Interpretation and presentation of complex clinical data in a clear manner to a variety of audiences
  • Management of Medical Inquires 
  • Management of approval of Contract Service Agreement and study protocols
  • Monitoring of non-interventional studies (NIS), investigator-initiated studies (IIT) and clinical trials
  • Act as Deputy for PV
  • Delegates tasks and forms to the team to achieve the requested results
  • Defines the desired behaviour and provides an example of such
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to support Customer Experience (CX) culture within the affiliate.
  • Support the implementation of activities to promote social and ecological sustainability in the company, especially in the areas of environmental protection, social justice and employee engagement
  • Represents both countries in Global meetings 

You will need to have

  • University degree in the field of medicine, biology, biotechnology, psychology, or pharmacy
  • Proven experience in leading Medical department/team at least 5 years
  • Knowledge of EMA Code of Practice and local codes
  • Knowledge of the therapeutic areas of interest to Chiesi
  • Working knowledge of Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacovigilance
  • Working knowledge of the regulations pertaining to phase II/III/IV clinical study management and conduct
  • Understanding of the National Health System (NHS) and key initiatives for Pharma to partner effectively within the scope of the Code of Practice
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills in English and local language
  • Excellent experience in leading a team to achieve or exceed the targeted goals
  • Flexible and positive attitude organised with high levels of project management and planning
  • A high level of motivation whilst possessing the ability to work independently or in a team environment as the situation demands
  • Strong Medical Affairs skills (study design, management and conduct of studies, study evaluation, medical writing skills, expert panel conduct, symposium and workshop management, KOL management etc.)
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Ability to recognize links between commercial opportunities and clinical development needs
  • Understanding of financial principles, the budgeting process, planning and use of resources
