Who we are looking for

Purpose

We are searching for an experienced and dynamic Senior Patient Marketer to join our growing US AIR Marketing Team. This newly created position will initially focus on pre-launch preparation in anticipation of FDA approval of our global market leading product, Trimbow®.

We want to find an experienced marketer with the skills, experience, and passion to help us fulfill our mission of helping to introduce Chiesi and our products to the US respiratory community. This position will guide key commercial projects to engage patients. We seek someone who can work effectively in a dynamic team-environment, with a high degree of autonomy. This position reports to the head of US AIR marketing and will start as an individual contributor.

Main Responsibilities

  • Represent the voice of the patient in development of strategic imperatives 
  • Lead patient marketing strategy development and tactical execution to drive product awareness, consideration and understanding 
  • Work with the market research lead to identify and turn brand insights into actionable marketing activities/ initiatives that have a beneficial impact on the growth of the business
  • Lead all patient marketing content development and materials – including patient brochures, websites, testimonial videos, social media, etc.
  • Monitor and examine overall performance metrics, adjusting strategies, tactics and messages as needed. 
  • Collaborate with key functions like customer experience and digital marketing to develop and execute an appropriate omnichannel plan. 
  • Partner cross-functionally with HCP marketing, digital marketing, patient advocacy, US medical affairs, commercial operations, market access, and field teams, to ensure strategic alignment and executional excellence. 
  • Guide key agency relationships with accountability for achievement of goals and an eye towards innovation. 
  • Engage in frequent customer facing interactions such as field rides, in-office meetings, events, and other activities as needed
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and corporate requirements both separately and for the sickle cell patient team. 
  • Contribute to Leadership requests and presentations (e.g., Launch Readiness Updates, Tactical Plans) as necessary 

Experience Required

  • 5+ years’ experience in pharma marketing experience, including 4 years patient/consumer pharma marketing experience
  • Previous product launch experience across 2 brands
  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and other marketing tools.
  • History of success managing multiple priorities with excellent organizational and critical thinking skills on time and within budget 
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and pioneer innovative projects and support thoughtful risk taking
  • Clear communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Thorough understanding of regulatory, legal and compliance requirements. 
  • Experience navigating medical, legal, regulatory process in a collaborative way 
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment -- outstanding relationship-building and influencing skills. 
  • Ability to work independently with guidance only needed on the most complex tasks 
  • Flexibility to travel (up to 30% travel anticipated if based in Cary, more if remote)
  • Preferred qualifications: Respiratory experience (asthma or COPD), AGILE marketing principles, CRM experience, Digital experience
