Who we are looking for

Purpose

This role leads strategic thought leader (TL) engagement across respiratory brands, ensuring alignment with commercial goals, customer experience priorities, and enterprise-wide collaboration. It drives launch readiness and performance by leveraging Thought Leader insights, supporting key business objectives, and promoting a customer-first mindset. The position also serves as a connector across Sales, Marketing, Medical, Customer Experience, and other teams to ensure cohesive execution and innovation. Operational excellence and compliance are core to the role, with a focus on maintaining high standards across all Thought Leader activities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Thought Leader Strategy & Engagement
    • Lead the Thought Leader Liason (TLL) team in planning and executing strategic engagement across respiratory brands
    • Appropriately and compliantly collaborate with Medical and Sales teams to expand thought leader networks and support launch readiness
    • Leverage insights for business development and pipeline evaluation
  • Commercial Performance & Launch Execution
    • Lead Thought Leader strategy and develoment contributions to launch excellence 
    • Support execution of MBOs and CEP plans tied to Thought Leader engagement
  • Customer Experience Leadership
    • Promote customer-centric culture across Thought Leader team and broader teams
    • Present Chiesi corporate narrative during TL meetings
    • Partner with Customer Experience team to develop listening platforms and co-create value-added programs
    • Align Thought Leader engagement with NPS and Customer Experience goals
  • Enterprise Collaboration
    • Serve as strategic liaison across Sales, Marketing, Medical, Customer Experience, Value & Access, and Training
    • Lead cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment and share insights
    • Drive innovation and responsiveness in Thought Leader engagement
  • Compliance & Operational Excellence
    • Ensure team-wide adherence to Chiesi policies, regulations, and expense guidelines

Experience Required

  • 10+ years in pharma, with direct experience as a TLL or TLL leader in respiratory and hospital-based specialties; proven success in product launches and thought leader engagement within respiratory markets
  • Strong foundation in respiratory care (e.g., asthma, COPD, pulmonary medicine)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing cross-functional teams; skilled in setting strategic direction, managing performance, and fostering a culture of accountability and innovation; Experience aligning team goals with broader commercial and appropriate/compliant medical objectives
  • Established relationships with national/international respiratory TLs; effective in guiding team execution of speaker programs, advisory boards, and congress strategy; ability to translate TL insights into team-driven brand strategies and tactics
  • Proven success partnering across Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, CX, Market Access, and Training; strong communicator who drives alignment and influence across internal stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of respiratory market dynamics and stakeholder needs; ability to lead team contributions to launch excellence and revenue growth
  • Understands their impact and seeks feedback; builds trust through active listening and understanding; navigates ambiguity and adjusts to diverse audiences; drives alignment across stakeholders without authority; maintains focus and positivity through challenges. Understands privacy and compliance needs and stays within the boundaries required.

Compensation

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $203,670 to $248,930. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. If hired, the employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
