Chiesi Global Rare Diseases
Chiesi Global Rare Diseases is a Chiesi Group’s business unit established in February 2020 and focused on research, development and commercialization of treatments and patient support services for rare and ultra-rare disorders, many of whom have limited or no treatments available.
The unit is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, and has an initial focus on research and product development for lysosomal storage diseases, rare hematology and ophthalmology disorders. The unit is also a dedicated partner with global leaders in scientific research, patient advocacy and care.
This is what you will do
We are seeking a motivated Business Systems intern to join our team. This role offers a great opportunity to gain practical experience with industry-standard business systems and tools. You will also gain exposure to cross-functional collaboration in a professional setting and contribute to meaningful projects that drive business success.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Assist in managing and configuring CRM (VEEVA, Salesforce), and marketing operations systems (Salesforce Marketing Cloud), and IT ticketing system (Zendesk, ServiceNow).
- Participate in the research, design, configuration, and implementation of system enhancements to improve functionality, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Support data integration and automation workflows using integration platforms such as SnapLogic or similar iPaaS tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato), including monitoring pipelines, troubleshooting failures, and validating data flows between systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Analytics, Sales, Operations, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and IT to gather requirements, assess feasibility, manage timelines, support testing, and incorporate feedback.
- Develop and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), process flows, User guides and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to document business requirements and end-to-end data movement across systems.
- Assist with data entry, data quality assessment, reconciliation, and ongoing maintenance of CRM and integrated systems.
Build and support standard and Adhoc reports, dashboards, and metrics using Power BI to meet business and operational reporting needs. - Provide timely and effective communication with end users regarding service requests, incident tickets, root cause analysis, and resolutions.
- Support the development and maintenance of an Application Support & Administration service catalogue, including stakeholder mapping, intake processes, and definition of service level agreements (SLAs).
You will need to have
- Must be enrolled in a four-year University program and preparing to enter 3rd or 4th year of study in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Systems, or a related field.
- Familiarity with cloud-based applications and SaaS platforms.
- Exposure to or understanding of system integrations, APIs, and data flows, preferably using SnapLogic or similar integration/iPaaS tools (e.g., Snaplogic, MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, Workato).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools such as Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, analytical, and critical-thinking skills, with attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
- Proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages such as Java, HTML, SQL, or Python, with an interest in data integration and automation.
Location
Hybrid - Must be able to work a minimum of one day per week from the Woodbridge office.
