Who we are looking for
Purpose
Under the supervision of the Systems and Storage Manager, you will be part of the managing and supporting team of our IT infrastructure. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks aimed at ensuring the optimal performance of our physical and virtual server environments, middleware and storage solutions.
Main Responsibilities
Server Management and Support:
• Maintain and support physical servers and VMware virtual architecture. Administer Windows and Linux operating systems, ensuring their reliability and efficiency;
• Perform regular system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, and key processes.
Middleware Management:
• Ensure the high availability and performance of middleware services;
• Collaborate with other teams to optimize application delivery and user experience.
Storage Management:
• Understand and support basic storage concepts and configurations. Assist in the management of storage solutions to ensure data availability and integrity. Monitor storage performance and participate in capacity planning.
Experience Required
3-4 years of experience in infrastructure administration or equivalent roles
Languages
Good knowledge of Italian and English
Technical Skills
• Good understanding of server hardware, virtualization technologies (especially VMware) and operating systems (Windows and Linux);
• Familiarity with identity management solutions like Active Directory;
• Knowledge of technologies such as RDS and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, and understanding of load balancing concepts;
• Understanding of storage concepts and technologies;
• Fundamentals of computer networking.
