Chiesi Global Rare Diseases

Chiesi Global Rare Diseases is a Chiesi Group’s business unit established in February 2020 and focused on research, development and commercialization of treatments and patient support services for rare and ultra-rare disorders, many of whom have limited or no treatments available.

The unit is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, and has an initial focus on research and product development for lysosomal storage diseases, rare hematology and ophthalmology disorders. The unit is also a dedicated partner with global leaders in scientific research, patient advocacy and care.

 

Purpose

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Finance Team of Global Rare Diseases BU (GRD). Covering the role of Junior Controller (Intern), the candidate has the responsibility to provide reliable and diversified support for monthly closing and planning activities. During internship, you will put your hands-on different challenges, experiencing what it means to work in the continuous evolving environment of rare diseases

Main Activities

• Support to Finance Team concerning the main financial processes, such as Planning, Monthly Closing Year-End Closing and full involvement in all reporting requirements 
•  Assistance on specific analysis to track business performances and to support business opportunities;
•  Contribution on modernizing the reporting data processing to speed up and enhance the processes and improve data analysis
 

Education

Master's degree in Economics, Finance or similar.

Languages

Fluent written and verbal English. A period of study abroad will be considered a plus.

Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Power Point)
- Good knowledge of Accounting principles and Financial statements
