Chiesi Research & Development

Our R&D team represents a fundamental asset for the business. It is divided into integrated functional areas focusing on pipeline projects including discovery and preclinical research, global technical development, drug delivery technology, clinical development, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, intellectual property, quality assurance, R&D project and portfolio management.  Headquartered in the new purpose-built and fully integrated Research and Development Centre in Parma (Italy), the team also has important operations in Paris (France), Chippenham (UK), Cary (US), Stockholm (Sweden), Toronto (Canada) and Shanghai (China).

 

Who we are looking for

This is what you will do

 

The Translational Chemistry & Technology Innovation Unit (TC&TI) is part of the Chemistry Research and Drug Discovery department in the Preclinical Research areas.

The role of the TC&TI is to identify and develop new chemical reactivities and innovative strategies to support the internal medicinal chemistry projects by new chemical entities synthesis. Our Unit is looking for a young and strongly motivated new graduate in Chemistry that is ready to take a challenge in organic chemistry innovation field.

You’ll be involved in:

Training to acquire and develop advance organic chemistry knowledge (radical chemistry)

Lab training to acquire ability in experimental photo-electro chemistry

Pianification of the synthetic activities to support medicinal chemistry project

Medicinal chemistry meeting attendance to acquire knowledge in Medicinal Chemistry

 

Chemistry meeting attendance to identify and develop more sustainable synthetic route for clinical candidate scale up.

You will need to have

Master’s degree in chemistry or Ph. D. student in organic chemistry or/and medicinal chemistry.

Experimental thesis in organic chemistry (at least 6 months) will be consider a plus.

 

Good knowledge of organic chemistry

Basic expertise in NMR and LC-MS techniques.

Basic knowledge of Scientific database (SciFinder, Reaxys).
