Global Technical Operations & Supply 

Global Technical Operations & Supply (Global TechOp&S) is Chiesi’s global manufacturing and supply area, responsible for ensuring consistent, outstanding quality, service and value across our end‑to‑end supply chain. Global TechOp&S oversees the entire lifecycle of the drug: from process optimization and industrialization, to manufacturing, engineering, quality oversight, and supply chain management. Throughout this journey, Operational Excellence drives continuous improvement. This end‑to‑end model is powered by our four manufacturing sites - Parma (IT), Blois (FR), Santana de Parnaíba (BR), and Nerviano (IT) - together with our Virtual Plant network of external partners.

Purpose

The Global IBP Senior Specialist supports the execution and continuous improvement of the global Sales & Operations Planning process, ensuring transparency, consistency and structured alignment between Demand, Supply and Finance.
The role enables effective cross-functional collaboration by preparing, structuring and facilitating the S&OP cycle, ensuring that relevant topics, risks and misalignments are clearly visible and addressed within the process.
Operating within the global Supply Chain Governance & Transformation framework, the figure contributes to the development and stabilization of the S&OP process without owning functional planning responsibilities.

Main Responsibilities

1. S&OP Cycle Preparation & Coordination
Prepare and coordinate the monthly S&OP cycle, ensuring that all required inputs from Demand, Supply and Finance are available, consistent and aligned in timing. Support the organization of all S&OP steps (Demand Review, Supply Review, Executive S&OP), ensuring readiness and completeness.

2. Transparency & Structuring of Inputs
Consolidate and structure inputs from Demand Planning, Supply Planning and Finance to ensure full transparency across the planning process.
Ensure that relevant topics such as demand-supply gaps, forecast deviations, supply constraints and financial impacts are clearly visible, consistently presented and prepared for discussion.

3. Process Support & Facilitation
Support S&OP meetings by facilitating the process flow, ensuring efficient use of time, clear agenda execution and proper documentation of outcomes. Ensure follow-up on actions and decisions, maintaining transparency across stakeholders.

4. Cross-Functional Alignment Support
Support alignment across Demand, Supply, Finance and Manufacturing by ensuring that all perspectives are reflected and transparently represented in the process. Provide an independent view on planning outputs, highlighting inconsistencies or gaps where relevant.

5. Performance Visibility
Support transparency on key S&OP performance indicators (e.g. service, inventory, forecast accuracy).
Collaborate with Data & Governance teams to ensure availability and consistency of data used within the S&OP process.

6. Continuous Improvement Support
Active contribution on the development on the Integrated Business Process and managing the design of the GRD S&OP / IBP Process.
Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the S&OP process, supporting implementation of new structures, tools and ways of working.

Required Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain in a multinational environment, with exposure to S&OP activities and/or consulting experience in S&OP/IBP.

Educational Background

Degree in Management Engineering or Business Economics, Supply Chain or similar fields.

Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Office package;

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management;
