Chiesi CCO – Commercial Organization

Following the continued growth of the Company and the increasing portfolio complexity, Chiesi decided to introduce the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) role and organization. The new organization is a truly global operating model, ensuring a uniform approach across all geographies (30 affiliates worldwide). The CCO Organization includes Global Marketing, Global Medical Affairs, Global Value & Access and all the commercial functions of every affiliate.


Who we are looking for


The Global Pricing Analyst position is a highly accountable professional that works cross-functionally with Commercial, Finance etc. teams across therapeutic areas. His/her main objective is to provide a single point of contact for specific operational pricing/pricing governance matters, as well as to support the development of global pricing and contracting strategies for in-line, pipeline and launch products.

The position requires experience related to aspects of strategic and operational pricing and pricing governance, ensuring consistency, process adherence and analytical tool usage globally, including expertise in the following areas:

  • Understanding the payer value threshold required for assets in development;
  • Assessing the price-volume-value relationship and related trade-offs;
  • Knowledge of the evolving global, regional and local payer environment;


A successful Global Pricing Analyst will also be expected to possess some Global Pricing and contracting strategy development expertise, coupled with the ability to apply their knowledge to situations/needs at the regional/local level. Furthermore, a Pricing Analyst will be expected to operate in close alignment with Global Commercial and Finance colleagues as well as Regional leadership.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure strategic commercial and access decisions incorporate key payer requirements; communicate risks/opportunities and recommended approaches
  • Support development & execution of global value-based pricing/contracting strategies that maximize the value of each asset
  • Monitor evolving payer and country landscape (reference pricing rules, expected price changes etc.), acting as pricing expert on market access and pricing policy questions. Build and maintain expertise across global markets with respect to environment developments and contribute this effectively to commercial and access strategy development
  • Ensure continuity of pricing processes including country capability development and support rollout towards affiliates
  • Identify and flag pricing trends across the portfolio, working with the Global Access teams on a plan of action; capture and share best pricing practices across TAs
  • Develop tools/frameworks and execute global pricing analytics (e.g. IRP assessments, price erosion, profitability analyses, country launch sequence optimization etc.)
  • Develop/execute price governance across products with a value-maximization mindset
  • Support development of business cases considering the overall product strategy as well as specific country situations/environment
  • Drive Cultural Change
  • Support development of new tools, processes and governance and ensure successful implementation

Experience Required

  • 2+ years Global/EU Operational and Strategic Pricing or Finance experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare or consulting, with proven track record of strategy development and execution
  • Business case development and revenue/profit maximization
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; including business process and data analytics; able to construct and execute multiple complex analyses
  • Demonstrated expertise in supporting operational pricing activities and developing global pricing/contracting strategies
  • Experience working in global positions and across regional organizations
  • Global/EU product launch experience is a plus


Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, marketing/business administration, economics or related.

Further qualification MSc, MBA, PhD is preferred


Fluent in written and verbal business English
