Chiesi Global Rare Diseases
Chiesi Global Rare Diseases is a Chiesi Group’s business unit established in February 2020 and focused on research, development and commercialization of treatments and patient support services for rare and ultra-rare disorders, many of whom have limited or no treatments available.
The unit is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, and has an initial focus on research and product development for lysosomal storage diseases, rare hematology and ophthalmology disorders. The unit is also a dedicated partner with global leaders in scientific research, patient advocacy and care.
This is what you will do
Chiesi Canada Corporation is seeking a dynamic and strategic Key Account Manager to join our Global Rare Diseases team. This role is responsible for developing and executing territory business plans, managing strategic accounts, and driving commercial success for our rare disease portfolio.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Develop and implement strategic territory plans to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, institutions, and advocacy groups.
- Deliver clinical and scientific information effectively to support product understanding and adoption.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Marketing.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategy and execution.
- Complete administrative work accurately and on time, including documentation of field activities, expense reporting, and administrative reports.
- Complete all required training on time and achieve an acceptable assessment score.
- Take personal responsibility for ongoing learning to maintain high-level expertise in assigned therapeutic areas and maintain any required professional licensing or certification.
You will need to have
- Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales or account management, preferably in the rare disease area.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic account plans.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel within the Eastern region as required.
- Bachelor’s degree required
We would prefer for you to have
- A degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Accreditation or certification in pharmaceutical education or sales is an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian drug laws, pharmacology, and the healthcare system is beneficial.
- Experience with inherited metabolic disorders is a significant advantage.
