Who we are looking for
Purpose
The Sr. Financial Analyst will play a key role on the Company’s Finance team. This position will be responsible for:
- Serving as a business partner to departments that are managed locally for financial reporting, planning, and financial control requirements.
- Assisting with the Company’s budget process and monthly management reporting
- Financial systems management
- Special projects and ad-hoc responsibilities and analyses as directed
The position will work with:
- Corporate & Local finance teams, Business Unit heads, and functional leaders
- International and domestic departments and managers throughout the organization
The ideal candidate will be local to work the hybrid model from our Cary, NC office.
Main Responsibilities
- Business Partner to local departments:
- Liaise between Finance and operating department managers
- Assist operating department managers with actual vs. plan variance analysis, expense planning, purchasing and financial control
- Assist Finance with monthly close process, including various reporting requirements and accrual accuracy
- Translate variance analysis into written form and provide explanations to Corporate finance leaders and BU heads
- Budgeting/Forecasting:
- Creation and review of departmental budget templates
- Assist department managers with budgeting process and expense planning
- Input budget models in various systems and analyze variances (comparing different scenarios)
- Assist with budget presentations and general budget documentation
- Prepare departmental budget presentations for individual Leadership Team members.
- Systems Management:
- Oversee & maintain workflow procedures for systems management of Tagetik, SAP, BW, and Board systems and related reporting
- Review Tagetik master data and reporting hierarchies periodically, ensuring consistency between Tagetik and SAP/Board; present inconsistencies to Manager for review.
- Assist Financial Analyst when needed with various data submissions/uploads in Tagetik, SAP/Board, Planisware.
- Assist with building reports in Tagetik and ad hoc presentations
- Ad-hoc Analysis:
- Prepare ad-hoc reports, financial models, and process documentation as needed to support senior management and various department requests
Experience Required
- 3-5 years’ experience in Accounting or Finance role
- Demonstrated proficiency in Written, Verbal and Face-to-face communication to effectively present information to and influence decision making of managers, working partners (local and global)
- Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and multifunctional resources concurrently while maintaining high attention to detail and responding to rapidly changing priorities and aggressive deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- SAP FI/CO, BW, and Board experience/knowledge preferred
- Tagetik experience/knowledge a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate and maintain relationships with department managers
- Flexibility to handle changing priorities and tight deadlines
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
