The Manager, Sales Insights is a member of the Business Excellence team that partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Market Access, and Customer Experience teams. This role is critical to driving the effectiveness of our AIR Field Force by providing actionable insights and analytics, optimizing territory alignment, in support of our Respiratory Sales Force. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical market dynamics, strong analytical skills, and a passion for staying ahead of industry trends. The Sales Insights team serves as an internal consultant to Sales and Brand leadership and helps them make informed strategic decisions through analytic guidance and insights. This role will also serve as a liaison across internal teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of strategies supporting the AIR product launch.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Act as a liaison between Sales, Marketing, and other business units to facilitate communication, resolve issues, and ensure coordinated efforts for AIR product launch initiatives.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, territory level performance, and competitive intelligence to provide actionable insights that drive sales strategies and performance. Work closely with the Sales Force to identify opportunities for growth and optimize sales tactics. Identify key opportunities and enhance salesforce effectiveness.
- Lead efforts to optimize territory alignment by analyzing sales potential, customer segmentation, and geographic considerations. Ensure that territories are structured to maximize coverage and efficiency, driving overall sales productivity.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and IT teams to ensure data-driven decision-making across the organization. Provide insights that help these teams align their strategies and achieve business goals.
- Develop and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and other analytical resources that provide sales teams and leadership with real-time, actionable data. Ensure that these tools are user-friendly and tailored to the needs of the business.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve sales processes through data-driven insights, automation, and technology. Champion best practices in data management, reporting, and analytics.
You will need to have
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, analytics, life sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical or biotechnology insights, analytics, or sales operations.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical sales processes, territory management, and field force optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify operational needs, and implement improvements.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI); strong command of MS Office Suite.
- Ability to connect analytics to business objectives and influence decision-making.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally and serve as a liaison between teams. Manage and streamline field communications to ensure clarity and alignment. Translate complex data into compelling narratives for leadership, supporting strategic decision-making and product positioning.
- Skilled at managing ambiguity, validating data, and applying critical thinking to complex scenarios.
We would prefer for you to have
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or PharmD)
- 7+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience working for a biopharmaceutical company or other relevant industry (e.g., management consulting, market research, etc.)
- Experience supporting product launches and cross-functional initiatives in a regulated environment.
- Knowledge of patient-level data sources including claims, EMR, GPO, IQVIA or other relevant pharmaceutical data.
- Respiratory therapeutic area experience strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of CRM platforms (e.g. Veeva Vault) and experience using data analytics and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI).
