Who we are looking for

This is what you will do

Lead and manage enterprise-wide projects and events as a key member of the US Project Management Office (PMO).  Success in this role requires exceptional cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.  The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering project management excellence, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives to achieve company goals effectively. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Project Planning and Initiation
    • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
    • Identify and document project dependencies, constraints, and assumptions.
    • Blend traditional project management principles and practices with an agile approach for strategic-level projects.
  • Project Execution and Monitoring
    • Lead project teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget.
    • Monitor project progress using established metrics and report updates to stakeholders and senior management.
    • Identify risks and issues, develop mitigation plans, and escalate as needed.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Act as the primary point of contact between the project team, PMO, and stakeholders.
    • Facilitate communication across departments and ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
    • Manage expectations and obtain approvals for changes in scope, timelines, or budgets.
    • Conduct regular project meetings and communicate project updates, milestones, and risks to relevant stakeholders.
  • Governance and Reporting
    • Ensure compliance with PMO standards, methodologies, and tools.
    • Prepare and deliver detailed project status reports, including KPIs and financial updates.
    • Conduct post-project retrospectives and document lessons learned.
  • Event Operations Project Management
    • Project Manage large scale business events/meetings, specifically the National Sales Meetings, President’s Club, and Launch Meetings in collaboration with third party event management teams.
    • Manage logistics planning and execution of key business meetings. 
    • Work closely with key internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure that deadlines are met and that the event comes together in a cohesive manner.
    • Review, negotiate, and manage vendor contracts and manage vendor relations.
    • Ensure that all objectives are achieved on time and remain on budget. 
    • Manage the onsite logistics during the live meeting/event.
    • Attend site visits as needed.
  • PMO Strategy
    • Contribute to PMO process improvements and the development of standard operating procedures.
    • Understand the company vision and strategy and leverage PMO resources to facilitate execution.
    • Lead through influence and communicate to all levels within the company.
    • Educate departmental Project Managers on Project Management best practices.

You will need to have

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years’ experience in related field.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams. Self-directed with ability to build team work on shared projects and goals. 
  • Event planning experience including sourcing hotels required. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented, solid organization, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to multi-task, proven project management and analytical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello, SmartSheet).
  • Experience in or familiarity with the Life Sciences Industry.
  • Understanding of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.

We would prefer for you to have

  • PMP Certification
  • Six Sigma Certification
