Purpose
The US Medical Affairs Department is comprised of individuals devoted to partnering with health care professionals to generate evidence, to meet unmet needs and effectively engage scientifically to optimize patient outcomes. The intern will support the Neonatology medical team in its mission to address knowledge gaps important to our patients and the healthcare community that cares for them. The intern will work closely with members of the Neonatology team to synthesize data from complex and diverse sources, and to prepare appropriate medical/scientific materials to communicate findings.
Spring Internship (January-May 2025) - Part Time
*Remote candidates from CST and EST time zones will be considered*
Main Responsibilities
- In collaboration with internal stakeholders, design and perform analyses on data from a variety of sources. Scope of work may include data review and synthesis of real-world evidence, systematic literature reviews, and meta-analyses, among others.
- Assist study report and slides preparation.
- Prepare conference abstracts, posters, and journal manuscripts.
Experience Required
- Proficient in literature search, systematic review, and data synthesis.
- Familiarity with epidemiological or observational study design and methodologies.
- Demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal to effectively present information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and innovative environment
Education
Current enrollment in a PhD program for epidemiology, public health, pharmacology, or a related field OR graduate of PhD program in epidemiology, public health, pharmacology, or related field
