Who we are looking for
Purpose
This role requires a strategic, inquisitive mindset and keen business acumen. Your role is to develop analytics and connect those outputs to business decisions. You will interact with and influence several functions, including US Market Access, Marketing, and Sales. This individual will provide quantitative and qualitative analysis informing enterprise-level decision-making, drive business accountability, and iterate as our business needs change related to the Marketing & Brand Team. This position requires a forward-thinking mindset, strong critical thinking skills, and will receive regular professional development and is expected to grow as a future leader. We are searching for a hybrid candidate to work from our Cary, NC office.
Main Responsibilities
- Proactively identify key opportunities to drive performance by leveraging various analytics techniques, communicate customer and business insights and data findings, influence decision-making, and drive action to achieve business results.
- Create succinct stories to communicate data learnings influencing business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and operations, to align analytics with overall business objectives.
- Dissect business issues, analyze root causes, and provide strategic recommendations in a simple yet compelling manner to stakeholders and executives
- Consult with internal and external stakeholders to determine how best to apply descriptive analysis and/or predictive/prescriptive analysis to support business objectives
- Connect disparate data sources to generate new insights and provide recommendations and support on strategic decision making
- Lead delivery of analysis and BI scope that is clearly defined, tracked, implemented, monitored, and communicated
- Lead key initiatives by providing project management, conceptual & analytical problem solving, preparation of presentation material, and program implementation
Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an analyst function (e.g., operations, finance, business analytics).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a role that supports Marketing Teams in the pharmaceutical industry (e.g., market research, business analytics, marketing), with some experience in the respiratory space.
- Ability to multitask and deliver results in tight timelines, and adaptability to fast paced, frequently changing environment.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, ability to think strategically about the business and challenge the status quo thought process.
- Team player and collaborates well with other team members from diverse backgrounds and work styles.
- Ability to communicate data to target audiences across the organization.
- Experience with reporting & business intelligence tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
- Must be proficient with all MS Office applications, including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint; advanced Excel skills required.
- Experience working with a pharmaceutical company on a launch preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year accredited university.
