Who we are looking for

Purpose

The HR Generalist plays a crucial role in driving the success of Chiesi USA by partnering with various departments to deliver comprehensive HR solutions. This position is responsible for enhancing employee experience, ensuring operational efficiency, and contributing to the strategic direction of the HR function. The HR Generalist will actively support the development and implementation of HR policies, processes, and programs that align with the company's mission and values.

Main Responsibilities

Employee Experience: 

  • Assist with employee mobility and relocation processes by working closely with Global HR, legal, tax, finance, and other relevant departments to ensure that the company’s global workforce is efficiently managed, compliant with local laws, and provided with the support necessary for successful international assignments.
  • Develop clear and effective HR communications to be disseminated across relevant internal channels (email, video screens, employee facing portals).
  • Oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes. Serve as the main point of contact for new hires throughout these processes and identify ways to improve and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Chiesi USA Onboarding program.
  • Coordinate and schedule trainings for new hires. Provide training to leaders on onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Facilitate development of employee surveys, analyze results and recommend action plans to ensure a positive employee experience.
  • Act as HR Team Event Coordinator to plan and coordinate HR team events to foster a positive work environment.
  • Act as HR Fun Facilitator Representative to promote and facilitate fun and engaging activities for employees.

HR Operational Efficiency:

  • Owner of HR project tracker, ensuring visibility and status reporting of priority projects planned and/or ongoing across the Department, 
  • Manage and streamline HR forms and processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Utilize HR analytics and maintain an HR dashboard to inform decision-making and improve HR practices. 
  • Manage the HR inbox, routing or responding to inquiries.
  • Coordination of the HR C-Share page aligning with COE leaders to ensure sections remain updated.
  • Owner of the HR calendar, updating important dates and deadlines.

General HR:

  • Conduct presentations on HR topics for new hires, leaders and employees
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and create new policies and processes.
  • Maintain and update the job description framework to ensure consistency and accuracy across all roles.
  • Provide backup support to the payroll specialist and other functions as needed.
  • Lead and/or participate in various HR projects to support organizational goals.
     

Experience Required

  • 2-5 years of experience in HR or related roles, with a proven ability to manage projects, coordinate employee events, and ensure effective communication across departments. 
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail in handling sensitive issues, employee inquiries, and administrative tasks.
  • Broad familiarity with general HR disciplines and best practices.
  • Superb judgment and integrity, including excellent decision-making skills and a bias to action.
  • Strong grasp of US and state-specific labor/employment law and practices.
  • Team Player with a demonstrated desire to jump in and help where needed.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications or related field.
