Who we are looking for

This is what you will do

Join a growing dynamic and growing company with an opportunity to shape a future ready the Government pricing organization. The Government Pricing Manager will report to the Lead Government Pricing. The individual in this role will support in execution of Government pricing, is a subject matter expert in Government contracting and pricing as well as the methodologies, calculations, analysis, submission, and interactions between each type of federally mandated government price submissions including non-FAMP, Average Manufacturer Price, Best Price, Average Sales Price, and PHS/340B and Tricare Government programs.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Knowledge of commercial contracting and rebate and fees adjudication.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly pricing, invoice and rebate deliveries by defined timelines.
  • Responsibly for timely and accurate process of Medicaid rebates, and other rebates are required.
  • Manage Medicaid bidding and contracting activities, as needed.
  • Reconciliation of payments or other finance functions such as reconciliation of data to the G/L.
  • Server as a support and back up to Government pricing lead, for monthly GP reporting and other statutory requirements.
  • Coordinates workflow, processing, and approval with internal Chiesi stakeholders and Third-Party Processor in accordance with health care regulations.
  • High accuracy rate and compliance with applicable legal requirements and policy and procedures serving as the foundation for compliance.
  • Ability to read, research and understand guidance from Government and other agencies while retaining, applying, and growing your knowledge base.
  • Detect outliers in data and research to identify the cause of the anomaly.
  • Ability to communicate with state government employees, third-party processors, Federal Agencies, commercial plans, or legal firms.
  • Independently lead projects/initiatives addressing changing customer and market requirements, build business cases for opportunity evaluation, and coordinate/manage project implementation. Assist in identifying opportunities to scale the operation, contracting and pricing function in compliant and efficient manner to allow for additional products and growth of the organization.
  • Growth mindset with focus on continued education for self and team; Attend industry meetings related to Government contracting and CMS (Medicare/Medicaid) as appropriate.
  • Stay current on industry trends as it relates to multiple service areas including but not limited to Medicaid Rebates, State Program Contracting, Government Pricing Calculations, Class of Trade Assignment, 340B Covered Entity Eligibility, and Sales-based Commercial Rebating and Contract Administration for Federal and State Programs.
  • Assist with tracking and reporting of department budget.

You will need to have

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University is required.
  • Six (6) or more years of commercial biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical experience with multi-functional experience (Access, Analytics, Finance, Government Pricing) required. Three (3) or more years of proven success in Government Pricing.
  • Skilled in analyzing large data sets and ability to turn data into information and information into knowledge.
  • Attention to detail and ability to recognize small, but important differences in data.
  • Strong operational skills and financial acumen; demonstrated P&L proficiency, understanding of accounting and financial modeling.
  • Comprehensive analytical/strategic thinking skills and decision-making; demonstrated ability to utilize data in fact-based decision-making (data to insights, to action), providing solid business rationale, clear sense of structure, accountability, timelines, and urgency.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and multifunctional resources concurrently while maintaining high attention to detail while responding to rapidly changing priorities and aggressive deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), IQVIA, MMIT/Fingertip Formulary data, CMS portals, etc.
