Purpose

The role provides effective strategic and operational legal & compliance support for stakeholders in Hungary & Slovenia focused on variety of topics. This role includes cooperation within HU & SI and within the CEE cluster. A further element of the role is supporting the implementation of global projects in the CEE Region.

Main Responsibilities

The function holder shall, in particular, perform the following activities within the scope of his/her position within Hungary and Slovenia in direct cooperation with the group-wide Legal & Compliance function:
•    Ensuring that all operational processes and procedures of Chiesi in Hungary and Slovenia comply with the law, focussing in particular on healthcare compliance (anti-corruption).
•    Identifying relevant requirements (laws, regulations, codes of conduct) at local (i.e. HU & SI) level and reviewing, drafting and revising internal (Group) policies and SOPs.
•    Advice and training for all departments of Chiesi in Hungary and Slovenia on compliance-relevant topics (incl. anti-corruption measures).
•    Advice on legal matters (incl. general contract law, labor law, advertising of medicinal products law, anti-corruption law, antitrust and competition law, data protection law) in cooperation with external advisors.
•    Draft and review contracts for cooperation with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) and Healthcare Organisations (HCOs), e.g. speaker contracts, consultancy contracts, sponsorship contracts, and with other service providers and suppliers.
•    Local contact point for data protection: answering requests from data subjects and authorities, concluding data protection agreements and maintaining local record of processing activities, developing and implementing local procedures, advice and training in cooperation with the group-wide Privacy function.
•    Support for audits in relation to legal and compliance-relevant topics.
•    Cooperate with the Legal & Compliance Department of the Chiesi CEE HUB in Vienna on group-wide compliance projects and initiatives in Hungary & Slovenia
 

Experience Required

•    Substantial professional experience in the field of legal and/or compliance (e.g. in a legal department or lawfirm).
•    Experience in the pharmaceutical environment is an advantage.
•    Understanding the needs of relevant stakeholders; assertive personality and strong communication skills.
•    Ability to work cross-functionally with different teams and to cooperate in a matrix organisation with Legal & Compliance function
•    To combine an independent, structured and pragmatic way of working with a solution-oriented mindset.
•    High level of trustworthiness and personal integrity and high standards of ethics and confidentiality 
•    Able to see the big picture and handle several topics at the same time 
•    Ability to respond to changing priorities and deal with ambiguity 
•    Stakeholder management of multi decision makers, colleagues, peers, and cross functional teams

Education

University law degree. Additional knowledge and practical experience of Hungarian law is a must, Slovenian legal background would be an asset.

Languages

Fluent in Hungarian and English is a must.

Ideally a great advantage would be at least communication level of Slovenian language.
