Chiesi Global Rare Diseases
Chiesi Global Rare Diseases is a Chiesi Group’s business unit established in February 2020 and focused on research, development and commercialization of treatments and patient support services for rare and ultra-rare disorders, many of whom have limited or no treatments available.
This unit is based in Boston, Massachusetts, with a strong synergy with the headquarters in Parma.
Rare unit has a focus on research and product development for lysosomal storage diseases, rare hematology, ophthalmology disorders and rare immunodeficiencies. The unit is also a dedicated partner with global leaders in scientific research, patient advocacy and care. Discover more here.
Who we are looking for
This is what you will do
Reporting to the Lead, HIDO Global Strategic Insights, the Senior Manager, HIDO Global Strategic Insights will be responsible for leading the analysis of market trends, customer behavior and industry insights to inform strategic decision-making for brands in the HIDO Franchise. The role will be Global in scope.
The ideal candidate is capable of developing a coherent data collection strategy for providing business insights supporting successful product launches, in-line product growth, evaluation of business development opportunities and therapy area forecasts. Candidate should be able to collect and integrate insights from a variety of data sources including primary, secondary and competitive intelligence.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for the successful launch of new products, considering market trends, competitive landscape, and company goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, Marketing, Sales and other relevant departments to maximize the potential of new and existing products.
- Market Research: Design and execute qualitative and quantitative US and Global market research (vendor identification, methodology selection, questionnaire/discussion guide design, summary, presentation of results)
- Financial Analysis: Assist with evaluating the financial viability of new products
- Competitive Intelligence: Monitor and analyze competitors’ activities and market dynamics to identify opportunities and threats
- Innovation: Collaborate in the planning, development, and deployment of new data solutions and evaluate and improve existing data solutions and dashboards
You will need to have
- Bachelor’s degree in a life science
- 5+ years pharmaceutical brand marketing, new product planning or insights experience
- Solutions-oriented, strong analytical and presentation skills
- Creative, innovative, problem-solving approach
- Independent self-starter
- Willingness to travel approximately 25%, including some international travel. Travel will vary by month based upon projects and meetings.
- Previous experience in one or more rare disease therapy areas
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to synthesize and communicate actionable insights
We would prefer for you to have
- MBA, or advanced degree
- Global commercial experience and Rare Disease experience
Location
This is a hybrid position that is based in Boston, MA and will require approximately 25% travel. Travel will vary based upon projects and internal/external meetings. #LI-Hybrid
Compensation
The annual base pay for this position ranges from $161,280 to $197,120. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. If hired, the employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
