Who we are looking for

Purpose

The Global Portfolio Strategy Lead for Hematology, Immunology, Dermatology and Ophthalmology (Hido) will work with the Global Portfolio Strategy Head, to develop and implement Global and US prioritized strategies and execution across the Hido franchise of FERRIPROX, REVCOVI, FILSUVEZ, & RAXONE. The role will report into the Global Marketing VP, Rare Diseases.  

Main Responsibilities

  • Serve as an important member on the Global Marketing Leadership Team 
  • Direct line management of the US and EU/International marketing team.
  • Responsible for the overall structure and organization of the marketing team including how it should evolve over time as the market.
  • Development, execution, and performance of a holistic portfolio strategy inclusive of all indications across HCPs and consumers.
  • Support the brand Project Core Teams and drive LCM, TPP, and global expansion.
  • Key stakeholder in developing the commercial forecast including OPEX and P&L management.
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the US and global brand team to enable development, alignment, and execution of strategy across all current and future indications.
  • Lead development of competitive strategy for current and future competitors. 
  • Reference for the Region, towards the achievement of each Product Full Potential, including revenues all portfolio needs (e.g.  GMD forecasts).
  • Lead the Global Commercial Strategy Team (GCST) for Hido Portfolio 
  • GCST is responsible for the following:
    • Strategic Planning: Guide development and alignment of comprehensive global annual brand strategy plans, and roll-up into an overall portfolio strategy plan (if necessary). 
    • Market Analysis: Continuously monitor global market trends, patient demographics, competitor activities, and regulatory changes. Use this data to inform strategic decisions and adaptations
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional and functional teams (including medical affairs, patient advocacy, market access, regional operations, and regional marketing teams) to ensure alignment and communication across these functions
    • Business Development: Lead commercial insight and evaluation of the potential of BD activities.
    • Global Product Launches: Provide oversight for product launches on a global scale
    • Marketing and Branding: Oversee development of global marketing campaigns, branding, and promotional strategies to create a strong market presence, product awareness 
    • Market Access: Support market access teams to develop strategies.
    • Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the strategic area. 
    • Global Expansion: Develop commercialization / partnering strategy to expand a product's presence to new geographic markets or therapeutic areas
    • Budget Management: Track strategic area costs at a global level.  Manage operational deployment of budgets.
  • Collaborate and participate on the Global Pipeline Strategy Team to drive pipeline for portfolio. 

Experience Required

  • Ability to build positive working relationships across functions and regions
  • International experience preferred 
  • Experience in rare diseases strongly desired
  • Experience in nimble organizations and company first product launches
  • Team leadership (people management) experience.
  • Strong business judgment and emotional intelligence
  • Demonstrated project management experience, cross functional management, ability to thinking strategically and prioritize critical tasks to ensure effective execution of objectives.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams with multiple different stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills (written and oral)
  • Product launch experience a plus

Education

BS/BA in a business, scientific or related field with a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible sales and marketing experience in the bio/pharmaceutical industry (market research, New Product Planning); advanced degree (MS, RPH, Pharm D, MBA, PhD) a plus
