Chiesi Global Rare Diseases

Chiesi Global Rare Diseases is a Chiesi Group’s business unit established in February 2020 and focused on research, development and commercialization of treatments and patient support services for rare and ultra-rare disorders, many of whom have limited or no treatments available.

 

This unit is based in Boston, Massachusetts, with a strong synergy with the headquarters in Parma. 

 

Rare unit has a focus on research and product development for lysosomal storage diseases, rare hematology, ophthalmology disorders and rare immunodeficiencies. The unit is also a dedicated partner with global leaders in scientific research, patient advocacy and care. Discover more here.

 

Who we are looking for

This is what you will do

The Marketing Operations Specialist will provide commercial support services across the entire GRD portfolio. These services will include processing Regional Congresses and Sponsorships independently, support Marketing Operations Manager on National Conferences and Sponsorships, HCP and Patient Speaker Programs as well as general support for the Marketing Team. The Marketing Commercial Operations team will adapt alongside the commercial organization as they change in size and promotional orientation. Critical to the success of this role and the team is the ability to handle sensitive information with great attention to detail and discretion, while continuously delivering process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness.  

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Regional Conferences & Sponsorship 
    • Independently process all payments for regional conferences and sponsorships across all brands submitted into Chiesi Events Hub.
  • Support National Conferences & Sponsorship 
    • Support marketing operations managers in conference survey creation and dissemination, sourcing and booking hotel accommodations and conference attendee registration
    • Responsible for all credit card payments and/or opening all POs and processing invoices for national conference booths, sponsorships, show services, housing and registration across all brands.
    • Responsible for correctly allocating credit card charges to appropriate functional cost centers for national congress registration, housing, etc.
    • Support literature ordering and shipments to and from conferences.
  • Support HCP Speaker and Patient Programs
    • Book and pay for venue, support with booking through World Travel and support other logistical details for speaker and patient programs while ensuring compliance and regulatory standards are met under the guidance and direction of the marketing operations manager.
    • Act as primary marketing representative for Dikesi. Ensure contracts are uploaded into Dikesi for every commercial contract correctly into the system and in a timely and organized manner.
  • General Support
    • Support marketing, sales and marketing commercial operations team across all brands as needed.
    • Examples include but are not limited to: processing print and fulfillment invoices/budget management, opening POs, processing credit card payments, sending calendar invites, design updates in Adobe for meeting invites/slide decks, updating spreadsheets, support in POA/NSM/Annual Team Meeting planning as needed, supporting Jetmail ordering cross functionally when requested, etc.

You will need to have

  • B.A./B.S.in business management, communications, marketing or related field from a four-year accredited university.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a supportive role in marketing, marketing operations, event management or administration preferably in pharmaceutical, medical device or related industry.
  • Team player with a strong background in project management as well as customer service that is able to follow direction.
  • Task oriented with excellent sense of priority, analytical and interpersonal skills with keen attention to detail. Must be able to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills and ability to interface with all business groups at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Location

Hybrid role based in Boston, MA.

Compensation

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $93,240 to $113,960. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. If hired, the employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
