Chiesi Global Rare Diseases

Chiesi Global Rare Diseases is a Chiesi Group’s business unit established in February 2020 and focused on research, development and commercialization of treatments and patient support services for rare and ultra-rare disorders, many of whom have limited or no treatments available.

 

This unit is based in Boston, Massachusetts, with a strong synergy with the headquarters in Parma. 

 

Rare unit has a focus on research and product development for lysosomal storage diseases, rare hematology, ophthalmology disorders and rare immunodeficiencies. The unit is also a dedicated partner with global leaders in scientific research, patient advocacy and care. Discover more here.

 

Who we are looking for

This is what you will do

Reporting to the Head of HIDO Marketing, this position is responsible for developing HCP strategy and leading tactical execution. The role works cross-functionally to develop and implement personal and non-personal promotional initiatives, while supporting key marketing processes including brand planning, launch readiness, budget management and quarterly business reviews.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Support disease-state strategy, campaigns, messaging, targeting and market-development tactics before and after launch.
  • Support brand strategy development and continued launch execution.
  • Lead peer-to-peer strategy and execution, including congresses, advisory boards, speaker bureaus and speaker education programmes.
  • Manage congress strategy, booth design, sponsorships and commercial events.
  • Gather market insights to inform launch strategies.
  • Develop and execute personal and non-personal launch tactics.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to ensure readiness of materials, training and launch support.
  • Manage agency partners, budgets, forecasts, project timelines and promotional review processes.
  • Work closely with Legal, Regulatory and Medical Affairs to ensure compliant promotional materials.
  • Manage multiple simultaneous projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget. Support transfer of value reporting in accordance with state and federal requirements.

You will need to have

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience.
  • 5+ years in marketing.
  • Experience managing agencies and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong project management, communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence without authority and work collaboratively.
  • Ability to prioritize and perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated innovation and customer-focus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to multi-task, proven project management and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships across Marketing, Medical, Market Access, Commercial Operations and International teams to deliver integrated customer experiences and business outcomes.

We would prefer for you to have

  • Rare disease experience.
  • U.S. launch experience.

Location

Hybrid position based in Boston, MA, up to 30% domestic and international travel required. #LI-Hybrid

Compensation

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $217,770 to $258,830. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. If hired, the employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
