Chiesi Global Rare Diseases
Chiesi Global Rare Diseases is a Chiesi Group’s business unit established in February 2020 and focused on research, development and commercialization of treatments and patient support services for rare and ultra-rare disorders, many of whom have limited or no treatments available.
This unit is based in Boston, Massachusetts, with a strong synergy with the headquarters in Parma.
Rare unit has a focus on research and product development for lysosomal storage diseases, rare hematology, ophthalmology disorders and rare immunodeficiencies. The unit is also a dedicated partner with global leaders in scientific research, patient advocacy and care. Discover more here.
Who we are looking for
This is what you will do
The BI associate/Developer will use their expertise in BI develop techniques to provide insightful Dashboard, improve timely delivery of information and support the team. The position will implement dashboards to monitor business metric reporting as well as customer/account/patient level KPIs. This role requires a person who possesses a strong business acumen, has a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical sales & marketing processes, BI tools and decision support systems. Candidate must be able to support enhancing a culture of data driven decision-making.
You will need to have
- BS/MS degree in quantitative or scientific field, i.e., computer science, engineering, math, physics, statistics, biology, etc.
- 2+ years experience in a commercial function as analyst, BI developer, dashboard designer, or similar roles
- Strong technical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic, cross-functional team based environment
- Proven ability and experience in multi-tasking with a commitment to delivering results in tight timelines
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to communicate in a clear and effective way both, verbally and in writing, using the appropriate communication techniques and tools
- Advanced user of Excel
- Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau or similar tools
- SQL proficiency: Strong ability to write complex queries, optimize performance, and manipulate large datasets.
- Data modeling: Experience designing and implementing star/snowflake schemas, dimensional models, and ETL pipelines.
- BI tools expertise: Proficiency in tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
- ETL development: Familiarity with tools such as SSIS, Talend, Informatica, or custom Python-based ETL scripts.
- Data warehousing: Understanding of platforms like Snowflake or Databricks.
- Business acumen: Understanding of KPIs, metrics, and how data supports strategic decision-making. Proactively identify anomalies in data and clear it with team.
- Dashboard design: Experience building intuitive, user-friendly dashboards and reports tailored to stakeholder needs.
- Requirements gathering: Skilled in translating business needs into technical specifications.
- Stakeholder engagement: Comfortable working with cross-functional teams including product, finance, marketing, and operations.
- Presentation skills: Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Documentation: Strong skills in documenting data sources, logic, and processes for transparency and maintainability.
- Forecasting: Partners with Data Science and marketing teams to develop forecasting models for brands to ensure predictive analytics are available for brand planning and sales forecasts and implemented in the dashboards
We would prefer for you to have
- MBA Degree
- Knowledge of coding i.e., R, Phyton or similar tools
- AI/ML: basic knowledge of Ml and AI principles
Location
This role is based in our office in Boston, MA office, with the flexibility to work from home. Candidates must be available to travel to meetings and visit the Boston office as needed.
Compensation
The annual base pay for this position ranges from $107,190 to $131,000. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. If hired, the employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
